I'm doing the YouTube! And you?
As you have all very kindly joined this group as testers, I really, really appreciate your patience while I figure this out 🙏 I know you can ALL relate to having an amazing idea (or a million) and then researching, and starting and then... THE FEAR sets in! That's where I am at right now, the fear of fucking up, the fear or failing, the FEAR of EVERYTHING that could go wrong. The one thing I have been busy with is a YouTube channel.... https://www.youtube.com/@SelfSoothingSoundsASMR I'm figuring out how to pivot as a freelancer/consultant and monetise my design/creative skills (plus leverage AI). This is channel is for neurodivergent people. I've created some ASMR shorts (personally not a huge fan of them, but they are popular and bring in viewers) as well as long form sleepy music/sounds/ambient noise etc. For now I'm getting views up and getting subscribers in order to get to the next level, but am keen to add all sorts of ND support and teachings. I've learnt a LOT about creating videos (AI prompting and editing sound/visuals/exporting), keywords/ titles/descriptions/thumbnails/optimisation etc. So I'm sharing this mini win with you. I have been productive, I have learnt, I have failed and failed again and again until I figured it out and it's still not perfect. And that's ok! If you have any YouTube/AI video related questions please feel free to ask here and I'll help where I can :) I'd love to hear how YOU are doing. With anything! What are you keen to do/learn/start/deep dive into next? No pressure remember :) xx

@Mary Starks the one BIG thing I'm avoiding is regarding a legal matter and it involves someone who was one of my best friends and I trusted implicitly... It's very traumatic to think about what they did and how they've brazenly lied about facts. I can't wrap my mind around people who lie, it boggles my brain and upsets me so, as I just can't fathom being that way :( Basically it's over a property we bought together at the coast in order to airbnb and rent out as a guest house. I paid huge amounts towards repairs and to set it up/equip it for rental. When push came to shove I could see I was just the cash cow/sucker fool. I'd been out of pocket for a year, and yet they reimbursed themselves first when money came in. I wanted out, asked for my money back and they now claim it was never a rental/business venture, only a holiday home.... So brazen lie, annoying, upsetting, etc. 😞 I've been putting off going through 3 years worth of whatsapps to find allllll the times it was acknowledged/spoken about as a business (which is many, lol), but it's upsetting as it's personal and horrible to go through again. I then need to go through bank statements and records etc to reconcile everything I have spent in order to send as discovery for my claim. I just can't face doing this alone for some reason, I have put it off for nearly a year it's that bad....🫠 I think it's got a lot to do with RSD as well as the ND sense of injustice that is making this more difficult than it should be, does that make sense? 🤔 Actually, just writing this out has already made me feel a little less overwhelmed by it, so that's good.

@Mary Starks I totally self medicated with alcohol in my teens and early 20's!! I was hectic, I had no stop button... I am SO lucky I was able to move past that phase mostly unharmed, as the alcoholic/gambling/addiction genes are strong in my extended family. Also, I now see that every single one of my family members who are struggling/have struggled are/were ADHD AF and have been chasing the dopamine through alcohol etc... It's clear as day, and it's so sad, as early treatment could have helped... Ok, not previous generations as there was zero help in the olden days, but from my generation down... Very sad :(

I'm actually "allergic" to alcohol now, I can have a shandy/mix, maybe once or twice a year, but more than that or hard tack makes me physically ill.... Think I used up all my drinking abilities in my youth, lol! It's easier and cheaper not to drink, it doesn't even cross my mind when out and about with friends. Luckily I'm odd enough for people to assume I'm already on something when in a social setting...🤣🤣🤭 I mask and power through!
