Lately I've noticed that I'm hyperaware of most all of my thoughts. I recognize this as the beginning of great change in my psyche to become the observer and the player but it's not without its side effects. Yesterday, I received a text from someone I hadn't heard from in a long time. The person wasn't kind and as soon as I read the text, I felt my face flush and my heart start beating hard and fast. I watched the reaction happen in real time. Instead of just focusing on my feelings about this person, I focused on my physical reactions happening in my mech. It slowed my anger's acceleration and allowed it to transform into self reflection. "What exactly am I bothered by and is it valid or ego?" It was both. I ended up replying in a kind but not exactly nice way. I allowed my self to find the balance between angry reaction and kindness which really boiled down to self respect. People treat you how you let them and creating boundaries is important to my healing. It centered me in my authenticity and honestly, that's the best feeling.
