Where Scholar Support Is Going — and How We Can Build It Together
🌱 Scholar Support is still growing, but the direction is becoming clearer. The vision is to build a practical learning community where scholars help scholars move forward—from developing research ideas to writing, publishing, accessing opportunities and translating research into impact. Over time, we hope to develop: 📚 Practical short courses and research tools ✍️ Writing, proposal and publication support 🔎 Peer review of manuscripts, theses and research ideas 🎓 Scholarship, fellowship, grant and career opportunities 💬 Research clinics, discussions and live learning sessions 🤝 Collaboration between scholars across disciplines, institutions and countries But Scholar Support should not be built by one person If you have expertise you would like to share, a session you could facilitate, resources that could help others, or an idea for collaboration, please reach out. And if you're here primarily to learn, your questions and challenges are equally important—they will help shape what we build. What would you like to contribute to—or see developed through—Scholar Support?

@Pemphero Alick Mwale most welcome to the community
Your Academic Journey Doesn’t Have to Be Public — But It Doesn’t Have to Be Lonely
🎓 Sometimes we choose to pursue a degree, research project or academic goal quietly. Maybe you don't know how difficult the journey will be. Maybe you don't want the pressure of everyone asking, “How is it going?” Perhaps you simply want to work at your own pace—and share the achievement when you're ready. That is perfectly okay. But keeping your journey private doesn't mean you have to navigate it alone. Scholar Support is about having a community of scholars who can offer another perspective, review an idea or draft, challenge your thinking, and help you move forward. You can participate openly in the community, or connect privately with fellow scholars when you need more discreet support. Keep your journey as private as you need. Just don't deny yourself the support that could make it easier.
