Hi, I'm Elena, live in Finland. My Spanish is very basic, almost zero when it comes to speaking, but I understand quite a bit. My grandparents lived in Cuba and spoke Spanish fluently, and I spent a lot of time with them between the ages of three and five. Years later, I was surprised to realize that I actually understand Spanish, even though I can’t really speak it. Now I have a Spanish-speaking partner and a daughter, so Spanish is becoming a part of my everyday life. I’ve also listened to Spanish music all my life, which means my vocabulary is mostly centered around love, heartbreak and dramatic suffering 😃
