Don't leave items behind..
This used to happen to me all of the time during my early cleaning years, I''d leave my chemical bottles behind in the room I had cleaned. These days that happens a lot less, I do always check behind myself just incase but for the most part everything stays pretty organized and together and that is due to the simple act of either putting things back immediately after I am done using it.. like in my cleaning caddy for example or if I'm cleaning a separate shower and tub then when I get done with the chemical and sponge I put it where I will use it next. When I'm almost done with an area I will move all of my supplies to where I will be needing them next. That way whenever I'm ready to go, my stuff is too!

Water!
Water is your friend. Use it! Some cleaners just spray chemicals in a tub (for example) and wipe them out, not even rinsing those chemicals out! 🤯 If I clean a bathtub/shower I get it wet with the shower or spray hose, then I usually squirt some dawn, maybe some comet and get a magic eraser or scrubby sponge and scrub every inch of that bathtub/shower!! I usually end up using water multiple times while scrubbing or even leave it on for a few minutes.. then I rinse it thoroughly, either with the spray hose or I have a cup that I fill and pour around the tub repeating a few times until the soap is rinsed off. Sometimes clearing the drain during this process is necessary as well, I carry a drain snake in my supplies that I bought from the dollar tree, does the trick almost every single time as long as I can get it down in there. I have a squeegee which helps to get most of the excess water out and prevent a drying rag from getting soaking wet. Then I dry/shine any metal with a clean, dry rag. If I have time I wipe the remainder of water out of the tub preventing any water spots from forming. The ending result is a shower that is clean, sanitized and dry, if you get the shower liner wet, please leave it closed so that it can drip-dry properly. Everything that was ever worth anything took WORK! Not the easy way around.. not cutting corners to save time.. Do it and do it the right way every single time, take some time, be thorough, worry about the little details and always check behind yourself.

Hello!
Welcome to The Cleaning Academy! Here you'll learn tips, tricks and how to clean like a pro! I'm Electra or Mrs.Green and I'm a professional housekeeper/cleaner! I'm not perfect but I love what I do! We all clean a bit differently and that's okay but overall, we should all know the correct procedures and standards of a professional cleaner.
