Good morning, I am buying my first car now for Turo and am seeing that if I buy it through my LLC that I will need commercial auto insurance. Did any of yall have to get commercial auto insurance or were you legally able to use personal? I live in Virginia.

What did y’all do for your business’s email and phone number? Did you use your personal ones or did you open email and phone accounts for your business? My business is the Turo one.

Hello everyone! Just here to share some information I just got. If you aren’t conducting your business in Florida, most states require you to submit a foreign qualification or registration in the state you live in. Virginia is one of those states. You can get this done through your agent on the portal under “Hire Us”. Select your company, then select “Expand a Business”, then “Register a Company in Another State”, then choose the state you are in. You will have to pay but the agent will do all the work for you. Hey everyone, I formed my LLC through Florida and it is now saying that since I live in Virginia I need to do a foreign entity in order to conduct business in a different state than I registered my LLC in. Did anyone else have to go through this and did you hire someone to do it for you or did you do it on your own. I’ll take any advice and help I can get. Thanks in advance!

Short & Sweet Version: 🚗 A guest rented a vehicle with an airport pickup. Their flight was delayed until 0-dark-thirty, so I provided the code early to ease the process. Then the flight was canceled, the guest didn’t show/respond to the messages, and I cancelled the trip. I went to pick up the vehicle BUT it was gone 🤷🏾‍♂️ I couldn’t contact the guest because I cancelled the trip and Turo couldn’t get a hold of them either and informed me to file a stolen vehicle report 📋 I know from the training videos that’s the LAST resort soooo….. ☎️ I called @Trevor Calais for insight. The cancelled trip left me two options: 🚔 Police Report 🚛 Repo I decided to repo with class 😂 It was an older females AND she rented a car seat… We picked up the car with zero issues….after some explaining on their end AND I crashed a SWEET 16 Party with a repo 🤦🏾‍♂️ 📝 Lesson NEVER cancel a trip, you’ll lose the option for Turo to handle things with their team/insurance etc. I know you have questions like: do you have trackers (yes), how did you tow it? why did you cancel? etc and all questions have legitimate answers BUT the BLUF (Bottom Line Up Front) is don’t cancel the trip until you have the vehicle.
