Time of Day?
What time of day do you guys tend to write at? I'm curious to see who's a night or morning writer or in between!

I'm definitely a morning writer. The earlier, the better. If I wait too long in the day to start, I'll get too in my head about my prose or structure. If I get it out as soon as I wake up, and then edit it later in the day, my writing comes out a lot more cohesive
Chapter Lengths?
Tell me! What do you prefer to write/read? Long chapters or short? Tell us what you define as a long or short chapter as well lol

I keep my chapters somewhere around 10-15 pages each. But I'm not sure if that's considered short or long 🤔
How Do You Approach Fight Scenes?
Do you write fight scenes? How do you approach writing them? Do you research, watch movies? Share your insights!

I love writing fight scenes! My go-to tactic is to look up gymnastic terminology and photos, that way I can visualize the moves better and assign the right descriptions to the fight scene. But that's what works best in my fantasy/sword fighting style 🤷🏽‍♀️ that probably wouldn't work in a gun fight
WELCOME ALL!
Hello and welcome to Writer's Realm! This is the community where writers come together to become authors, find inspiration, and share about their journey! For me, writing looks like early mornings and late nights, writing whenever I get a spare minute (which is a challenge with two toddlers). What does writing look like for you?

Writing for me is when I'm at work at my desk office with two tabs open. One for my actual job and one for where I write my novel 😅 I've actually caught a few coworkers trying to read over my shoulder, because all they're seeing is me typing away on some Google doc that they don't recognize
Overused Words??
In your writing, do you notice that you overuse certain words? I always overuse the word 'smirked' 😂 What do you think your most overused word is??
