Jay asked about edible plants… we got him covered.
@Jay Hanan I pulled this together for you β€” plus a full guide to go with it Truth is, it’s not a buffet out there. Most plants aren’t grab-and-eat A lot need real prep Some look close enough to fool you Even in that guide, first rule is clear: be sure what you’re looking at before you touch it So it comes down to slowing down and making a good call. Start here: What’s one plant you know for sureβ€”no guessing? Where the Map Ends, The WILD begins!! Stay Rugged.

@Gareth Parkes my mouth is watering. These all seem so healthy too!

@Rodney Thompson Outdoor Skills Probably it makes sense to go with what will be in season soon. Are prickly pears giving fruit soon? Then that would be next on my list. I ate the green part once before (prepared by someone else), but never the red part.

If you could master one outdoor skill before summer gets here, what would it be?

Knowing what is edible around me would be nice. I know there is more available than our city based minds can comprehend, if I "mastered" that the forest would probably seem like a buffet.

@Rodney Thompson Outdoor Skills I will next be in Mt Pleasant TX. I often hike in So Cal too. Sometimes Edmond OK.
This is exactly what I built this community for.
Every one of you showed up today. Jay asked a simple question about camping with his kids. And y'all delivered. Real advice. Personal stories. Practical tips. Nobody showed off. Nobody sold anything. Just people who go outside helping someone else get started. That's it. That's the whole thing. This is what I've been building toward β€” a place where you can ask anything, no matter how basic it feels, and the community shows up for you. Jay β€” your girls are going to remember this. πŸ•οΈ Thank you all. 🌲 Where the Map Ends, The WILD begins!! Stay Rugged.

Just having fun. That's what we all want. Thanks @Rodney Thompson Outdoor Skills .
My kids want to camp, any tips?
We have two tents and it has been 10 years since I camped. My girls are 3 and 7. My wife says let them test camping in the yard. What do you all suggest?

Thanks for the feedback everyone! You are making me even more excited.
I’m Quitting My Job
I’m quitting my job to go full time on this platform. What are some tips that you have to just pass time on the app? Like I know I need to engage in other communities, but what are some other ways to connect and grow?

One tip is to be you. Why not have your face on your profile?
