Hi everyone! I’m Jimena, a 52-year-old former journalist originally from Argentina. After six months in Bali, I returned home this October because my son needs me. He’s about to enter a rehab/detox program, and we’re trying to find the right place for him. Honestly, I haven’t quite landed yet! I’ve been hopping from one Airbnb to another, with no food in the fridge and nowhere to work out. It’s been hard to get started, but as the teacher says, the worst thing I can do is ghost you all, so here I am, showing up! I’m hoping to settle down once Tommy is admitted. I’ve always had a good relationship with my body, without much effort, dieting, or going to the gym. I’ve always loved the outdoors, climbing, and trekking around the world (Everest Base Camp, baby!). But things started to change when I went through menopause about 10 years ago. Since then, it’s been an uphill battle: I’ve gradually gained weight, lost strength, and started getting tired more easily. Over the next 12 weeks, I’d love to rebuild my strength, lose some weight and feel at home in my body again. I decided to join Embodied while I was still in Bali. I met Edison and fell in love with his energy and the way he believes in us. For the first time in a very long time, I felt that what was happening to my body was reversible. That gave me so much hope, and I really want to hold on to that feeling. Like Erin, I’m obsessed with doggies! I spent a lot of time in Bali rescuing, feeding, and looking after street dogs. Workstation? What’s that? Hahaha! I’ve been living the sabbatical life for the past eight years, and I love it. So, no workstation for me, but I promise I’ll share a gym pic soon!
