People talk about Intelligence Quotient and Emotional Quotient as being the drive behind people's success but actually it's our Adversity Quotient. It's about how fast your mind can bounce back after life takes a swing at you. It doesn't matter who a person is or what status they are in, everyone faces a variation of problems same as you and I. But what separates successful people from non-successful people is that successors don't allow the set backs to drag them into a negative spiral. Instead, they catch the moment they are hitting this spiral and elevate themselves by turning the negative into fuel. Similarly to a muscle micro-tearing when you work out and allowing it to grow, successful people train this AQ "muscle" to help them bounce back each time each time they practice it. So IQ and EQ might get you started but it's resilience from AQ that builds people to a level of success and keeps you winning even under tremendous pressure.
