My vision ...
Last week there was a post in Skooligans asking about our dream community. [https://www.skool.com/skooligans/about?ref=2c46f4c7a6764b958d8fbc8f057d85b1] I found myself wrote this ~ raw, there and then ... My dream community is a place where learning is fun & available, but not a task; and is self-select rather than a ladder to climb. 💎 Warm, welcoming community that feels like home or a reunion. Community is belonging. Presence over Performance. ❤️ Humour along side Depth and Compassion. A place to BE in full-spectrum self... 🌈 without the pressure to perform, to choose side in order to protect identity and survive. No cramping to fit. No dimming to be accepted. 🔥 Ideas can become inspirations. 💡 Cheers become motivations. 🎉 Mutual Support and Collaboration is natural. 💞 A place where ordinary life is magical and the magical is everyday norm. 🪄 A place to Re-Member and BE Whole again. 💥💜💙🩵💚💛🧡❤️💥 🎉🗝️❤️🌱🌿 This is my vision. It got pinned. Thank you for being here ... at the start. Helping me make this vision real. 🩷🫶🌿

Welcome to Hearth Light Hall 🔥🏮🌱
This thread is simply a place to say hello. No introductions are too short. No life story is required. If you'd like, tell us: ✨ What brought you here? ✨ Something you're currently exploring, learning or curious about. ✨ Something that brings you joy. ✨ Or simply say hello and let us know you've arrived. Lurkers are welcome too. Sometimes it takes a little while before an ember is ready to speak. However you choose to join in, we're glad you're here. 💖 🔥 Bring your ember. 🔥 Bring your flame. Both are welcome here.

@Susan Goodman I am happy that you have chosen to join us here. 💥🪄🥰 Thank you for the introduction to you and your work. I am sure you will have much to contribute with your insights and perspective. 🩷 Susan, I am wondering why you have chosen to have 3 separate communities on closely related subject instead of one that hold them all? ✨ 💎 Would you share your reasoning and your finding on that decision?

@Susan Goodman Thank you for sharing your view - especially for those of us who didn't get to see the Moon and Lunar Eclipse with our own eyes. I was hoping you might! 😉🥰💞
A guide to meditation
Hey everyone! I thought I would share my daily meditation practice. So many people give up on meditation because they think they have to force themselves into a strict 5:00 AM morning routine. For me? It’s all about finding a time that actually works for my lifestyle. My Daily Routine: - The Time: Either right after work (to transition out of "work mode", I work from home so need to switch off) or right before bed (to clear my brain for sleep). - The Length: 10-15 minutes a day minimum. - The Goal: Washing off the day's stress and hitting the reset button. How I actually do it: 1. I find a quiet spot, change out of work clothes, and find a guided meditation on Insight Timer or YouTube. The guided meditation was crucial in the beginning as I found it hard not to let my mind drift. Now I can set a timer for 10-15 minutes and pop some nice relaxing music on. 2. I close my eyes and focus on my breathing. I take 3 nice, deep breaths which is my signal to my body to relax. 3. If my mind starts looping about work emails or tomorrow's to-do list, I don't fight it. I acknowledge the thought, let it go, and bring my focus back to my breath. The key is to find the slot in your day where you need a mental reset the most. Whether that is 5 minutes or 15 minutes, the best time to meditate is the time you’ll actually stick to. Drop a comment below: Are you a morning person or an evening person? Let me know when you're going to try your next session! 👇

@Helen Green Thank you for sharing your practical daily meditation practice. 🩷🕯️🙏 It sounds like this can be included into a daily routine with ease. I am naturally a night person, but life and environment means I'm now a day person! 😊 When I get a chance, I enjoy the quiet and very still night hours.
🧭 Signal, Noise & Loops
𝗛𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝗻𝗼𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘀𝗼𝗺𝗲𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲𝘀 𝗹𝗶𝗳𝗲 𝘀𝗲𝗲𝗺𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗽𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝗮𝗺𝗲 𝗹𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗼𝗻 𝘄𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗱𝗶𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗰𝗹𝗼𝘁𝗵𝗲𝘀? A different person. A different workplace. A different circumstance. Yet somehow the pattern feels strangely familiar. Many people describe this as being "stuck in a loop." 𝗜'𝗺 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗲𝗱 𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗹𝗼𝗼𝗽𝘀 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝗮𝗺𝗲. Some seem to arise from habit. Some from unfinished business. Some from beliefs we no longer realise we're carrying. And some may simply be life asking us to pay attention to something we keep overlooking. The question that interests me is not: "𝗛𝗼𝘄 𝗱𝗼 𝗜 𝗲𝘀𝗰𝗮𝗽𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗹𝗼𝗼𝗽?" but: "𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗶𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗹𝗼𝗼𝗽 𝘁𝗿𝘆𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗼 𝘀𝗵𝗼𝘄 𝗺𝗲?" Because sometimes the moment we see the pattern clearly, something transforms. ➡️ What recurring pattern, theme or situation have you noticed showing up in your life? ➡️ Do you think these repetitions arise primarily from habit and conditioning, or do they serve another purpose? And perhaps most importantly: ➡️ How do you tell the difference between signal and noise when you're in the middle of it?

@Helen Green How long do you meditate for each day? Would you recommend meditation for everyone and how best to fit this practice into busy life?

@Helen Green May be you can make a separate post on your daily meditation practice? Something practical and doable to help our members make a start and hopefully keep on going as part of self-care routine? Share your method... 🏮🕯️💥🗝️🏮🩷
