Is this group still meeting? I want to start studying and would like to target exam in Sept. If not--anyone interested in joining me? I need an accountability partner or group 🙂

@Vincent Primiani Awesome!! Thanks, I will plan to attend
Just passed!
Happy Friday!! I’m thrilled to share that I provisionally passed the CISSP exam! 🎉 A huge thank you to this awesome study group, which played a significant role in my success. The shared resources, practice questions, and discussions really helped reinforce my understanding and dive deeper into my weak areas. Knowing that others were going through the same journey kept me motivated and focused. To everyone still preparing—stick with it and trust the process! I’ll catch y’all next Tuesday.

@Lawal Okunlola Hi, everyone’s learning style is different so it’s important to do what works for you. For the month of September, the only thing on my mind was passing so I took practice tests in the morning as my breakfast and at night. I became obsessed with it. I think reading the official study guide at least once is necessary even though it put me to sleep every time lol. Depending on your experience set a goal (4 months or 6 months…or a year) and just schedule the exam and work towards that date. I used multiple resources and took practice questions daily.. taking practice tests is key to gauging if you are ready or not. Don’t rely on one source either because I found some to be too easy and some to be too deep for CISSP. Take practice tests whenever you can on your free time, and dedicate time at least an hour in the morning or at night. I started small at first with only 20 questions 3-4x a week then gradually increasing to 50-100 questions. A month before my exam, I increased my study time significantly. I used ChatGPT along with Copilot to review questions that I got wrong to understand why an answer was right and why other choices were wrong. A lot of the answers are tricky because they can be right but they are not the best choice and you must know and understand why. Be careful if using ChatGPT because it can make mistakes— so never trust, always verify the responses 🤓. I would do deep dives on areas where I was weak. I downloaded the pocket prep app on my phone (paid for the premium version) and just took practice questions when I was waiting in line or had free time. Make a conscious effort to take practice tests instead of scrolling on social media. I also used the practice quiz on Wiley.com which is free with purchase of the official study guide. I used CC Cure too towards the end. I was averaging 75-80% always taking new unanswered questions only. I listened to following YouTube videos while driving one week leading up to my exam. I think it was very helpful.
