Working Remote 👨‍💻
I'm curious, how many of you guys work a remote job / business? and if not... do you want to? I've been seriously considering moving to Thailand... thoughts? 🇹🇭 Who's coming with me? 😏

I’ve done it and enjoyed it. It’s my goal to do it again until I don’t have to.

@Joshua Palassis, maybe I took your question out of context. I’ve worked corporate jobs remotely from home, sometimes in different U.S. timezones. I wouldn’t personally consider a job working several timezones apart, due to the nature of my role requiring frequent interactions in the timezone of the employer. If overseas, working nights or early mornings in a full-time job would still be a full-time job, but on a worse schedule. Worse, the majority of my recent roles have been in financial services companies that prevent working from outside the U.S.. I was already poisoned by a travel job where I worked full-time in an office away from home: there was little time to visit the nearby landmarks or vacation spots due to the full-time nature of the work and the constant travel. Maybe staying in country or town would give you weekends. If I’m going to travel much, I’m holding out for a job or role with a limited schedule, or I’ll work from the comfort and convenience of my home. All of this pints to the reasons I’m here on SKOOL and building a business and team that can work for me, so I can make the rules like those financial services companies do.

@Joshua Haag, we work through a series of exercises and conversations that enable them to determine the best path forward for them. Building something new inevitably means letting go of something else.
