I'd never even heard of this wood before, but the moment I saw it, my hand-to-wallet reflex kicked in. The grain on this piece is absolutely unreal. Instantly, I started imagining transforming it into a live Tanto or Wakizashi, with the natural figure flowing along the curvature of the handle and sheath. The only downside? There’s only enough material here to make 3 or 4 pieces... But that's exactly the direction we're heading—creating exceptionally rare functional works of art from the exotic woods I somehow keep collecting. Just wanted to share this with you all, as you're the only ones who get me, haha.

We’ve been burning the midnight oil getting ready for tomorrow’s launch of the Ipe Hybrids. Also known as Ironwood, Ipe has one of the highest Janka hardness ratings of any hardwood making it incredibly hard and durable. The coolest part about this batch is how much variance in color and woodgrain there is. There’s everything from super light, to really dark, and even some two-toned which is super rare. These will be launching first thing tomorrow morning and when they’re gone they’re gone as Ipe has been incredible hard to come by lately. We’re even launching a small batch of Ipe Stubbies too in this round - our first ever wooden Stubbie 🙌 Quantities are limited, so be sure set that alarm for 6:00am MST to snag a pair of :) Thank you for your continued support! 🙏
