Let’s be real for a minute. Hitting a 20x or 50x candle on a random micro-cap feels amazing. I’m not going to pretend I don’t touch them at all—I still keep a tiny sliver of play money to hunt memes. But we’re talking 200 bucks, maybe 300 max. That’s pure casino allocation, and if it goes to zero, I don’t lose a wink of sleep. What I don't do anymore is bet the whole farm on low-cap roulette. Instead, most of what I’m doing right now comes down to a much simpler thesis: I prefer to LP assets I actually have high conviction in and want to hold anyway. Are the headline APRs as wild as a fresh Pump.fun token? No. But consistently pulling 60% to 400% APR on coins you genuinely believe in over the next 1–2 years is an absolute game-changer. You stop stressing over every 5-minute candle. Instead of praying for the next greater fool to buy your bag higher, you become the toll booth. Market chops sideways? You collect fees. Big volatility spike? You collect even more fees. Now, full transparency here—my portfolio isn’t massive. I’m currently sitting in the lower end of 4 digits. Because I’m working with a smaller stack, I intentionally take on a bit more risk to accelerate growth: - I tighten up my price ranges instead of running super wide, passive bands. - Tight ranges concentrate the liquidity right where the action is, which lets me suck up as many swap fees as humanly possible. - The trade-off is obvious: it requires active management. I have to babysit my positions, track the swings, and rebalance when price wants to run out of the zone. It’s work, but the numbers speak for themselves. I’m currently sitting up 9.69% over the last 7 days. When you’re pulling near double-digit returns in a week off fee cash-flow while holding bags you actually want to own, the urge to chase green candles on trash tokens pretty much evaporates. This is going to be a 4-part series. In the next post, I’ll get into the mechanics of Impermanent Loss—and why getting pushed out of range doesn't scare me at all when I actually believe in the token I'm holding.
