After a productive morning we decided to head to the beach after school to cool down, have a swim, And take fajitas down for our tea afterwards, with a nice cold cider and ice cream. I also got to play on my friends paddle board.🏄‍♂️ It is so hot in the UK right now. 🌞🥵 Us Brits are just not used to it. We don't typically have air conditioning units and because this kind of sunshine only happens for a few weeks every year we feel guilty for working when it's sunny outside because we don't want to "waste" it, guilty for not working when we're outside enjoying it. 😂 So now I'm back, I'll do an hour of writing and then do a little bit more on that tree in the cooler evening air before bed. To all of you fellow men that are lucky enough to be fathers, I hope you are being thoroughly spoiled by your family or children today. I was woken up this morning with a delicious surpruse breakfast of smoked salmod, avocado and poached egg on toast with a cup of tea. It was much tastier than my attempt of the same on Mothers day where the toast literally caught fire 🍞🔥. I'm so lucky to be married to an ex-chef. It was perfection. 😋 Then, after I had finished my 18yo son walk into my room with a little plate he had made with some home made dark chocolates with strawberrys. It also had a glass of orange juice in the middle. My youngest daughters at a sleepover but I know when I pick her up later I'll get lots of cuddles too. What more does a Dad need?
