Please turn your Skool notifications OFF for our community
Little PSA for your sanity ๐ One of the first things I do with every new Skool I join is go in and switch the notifications off. Not because I donโt care, because I do โฆ but just because the default Skool setting is to have pretty much ๐ฒ๐๐ฒ๐ฟ๐๐๐ต๐ถ๐ป๐ด ๐๐๐ฟ๐ป๐ฒ๐ฑ ๐ผ๐ป, and honestly, ๐ถ๐โ๐ ๐ผ๐๐ฒ๐ฟ๐๐ต๐ฒ๐น๐บ๐ถ๐ป๐ด! Your inbox fills up every time someone posts, comments or likes something, and if youโre in a few communities, it gets ridiculous fast. You absolutely do not have to turn them off.But if you want room to focus and get on with what actually matters, you probably donโt want your email dinging every five minutes just because this place is active. Skool didnโt really account for a community like ours; a bunch of people who genuinely want to chat, get to know each other, and help in a more oldโfashioned, authentic wayโฆ not the new โnumbers gameโ approach where you are just a number on a spreadsheet. ("I am not a number, I am a free man!", or should that be "person" now?) So, hereโs how to reclaim your attention a bit: ๐ข๐ป ๐ฑ๐ฒ๐๐ธ๐๐ผ๐ฝ 1. Go to Skool and click your profile picture in the topโright corner. 2. Click Settings. 3. In the left sidebar, click Notifications. 4. Under Group notifications, find this community and click Change. 5. Toggle email notifications off for things you donโt want (likes, new posts, comments, etc.), or turn them all off if you prefer to only see updates when you log into Skool. Tap your profile icon (usually topโright). 2. Tap Settings โ Notifications. 3. Turn off any email/push notifications you donโt want (likes, new posts, comments, etc.). 4. If your phone is still buzzing, also check your deviceโs notification settings for the Skool app and switch those off or to โdeliver quietlyโ. You can always turn things back on later or keep just the important stuff (like event reminders) if that works better for you. Iโd much rather you choose when you come in here, on your own terms, than feel dragged around by your inbox.
