Even a mother’s laugh can be an act of resistance. It is not because she is unaware of the battle. It is because she knows who prepared her for it. A mother is fearless because God has equipped her with the strength, wisdom, and capacity to cover, guard, nurture, and battle for her seed. She does not battle from panic, she battles from promise. Sometimes, the most audacious thing a mother can do is laugh in the face of what tried to make her afraid. Why? Because her laugh says: I still believe God. I am still standing. My seed is still covered. And the devourer will not win. Happy Mother’s Day to the mothers and mother figures who war with wisdom, love with strength, and laugh with holy confidence.
