👕 What If Your T-Shirt Could Promote Your Business?
A few days ago, I shared how we transformed Julianne Anderson's traditional website into a simple, one-page Link-in-Bio at Julianne4History.com. But there's another part of Julianne's story I want to share. Julianne loves picking — hunting for vintage treasures, collectibles, and pieces of history. She also has two communities, Retro Riches Archive and Ricochet, that she's passionate about growing. And she had a dream. She wanted to wear her own branded T-shirts while she was out picking, promoting what she loves and the communities she's building. So we made it happen! 👕 We designed a T-shirt with her branding on the front and a custom QR code on the back. And here's where it gets interesting... 📱 ONE QR CODE. TWO COMMUNITIES. ENDLESS OPPORTUNITIES. When someone scans the QR code on Julianne's shirt, they're taken directly to her new Link-in-Bio page. From there, they can: ✅ Explore Retro Riches Archive ✅ Join her Ricochet community ✅ Shop her vintage finds on eBay ✅ Connect with Julianne through her contact form ✅ Follow her on social media No complicated URLs to remember. No business cards to hand out. Just a conversation, a quick scan, and a connection. And because the QR code points to her Link-in-Bio, Julianne can update her links, offers, and content anytime without printing new shirts. That's what I love about combining EZ Bio with QR codes. Your marketing doesn't have to be complicated, expensive, or even digital to start a digital connection. Sometimes, all it takes is a T-shirt! 👏 Congratulations, Julianne! I love seeing your ideas come to life. 💬 Here's a question for everyone: If you could put a QR code on something you wear or carry every day, what would it be?

Probably a bookmark. If I’m going to carry advertising, it ought to at least hold my place. 😂 The QR code could point to PenOdyssey.com today—and perhaps JohnElcik.com once I finish giving all those dormant domains something useful to do.

🌎 The Other Side of the World
Time zones are challenging when your community stretches around the world. So tomorrow's LIVE is for everyone on the other side of the world from me. 🌍 If our usual call times have you sleeping, working—or wondering why everything happens while America is awake—this one's for you. And apparently, I never sleep anyway. 😂 Come hang out, ask questions, talk EZ Bio, marketing, Skool—or whatever you're working on. See you LIVE from the other side of the world! 🚀 https://www.skool.com/bio/calendar

Jeff, I’m beginning to suspect your solution to the time-zone problem is simply to eliminate sleep from the business model. Apparently, sleep is overrated anyway. 😂

🔥 Does This Really Matter?
Today marks one full year of keeping my 🔥 alive on Skool. That means for 365 days, I’ve maintained a streak of 10+ activities every single day. But does the streak really matter? Not really. The little 🔥 doesn’t build a community. Showing up does. Answering a question. Welcoming a new member. Posting something useful. Leaving a thoughtful comment. Helping someone make a connection. Those little actions don't seem like much on any given day. But do them every day for a year, and they add up. The 🔥 is just the scoreboard. Consistency is the real win. So now I'm curious... 🔥 How long is YOUR current Skool streak? Drop your number below — whether it's 1 day or 1,000 days. And if you don't have a streak yet? Today is a pretty good day to start one.

@Jeff Baer Jeff, that is very kind of you to say. Thank you. I think I simply enjoy paying attention to the person behind the comment. If I’m going to reply, I’d rather respond to them than to a generic version of what they said. The written word has always given me a good place to do that. 🙂

@Jeff Baer The more you practice, the easier it becomes—like riding a bicycle. AI provides pretty good training wheels. 🙂

📚 My Skool Bestie Knows Books
One of the best parts of Skool is the people you meet along the way. Krista Brea has become my Skool Bestie ❤️ — and she happens to know a thing or two about turning ideas into books that actually get found and sold on Amazon. If you have an ebook, PDF, course content, or an idea sitting in your head, Krista teaches you how to turn it into a real physical book on Amazon — and how to use SEO and smart positioning to help people discover it. And she practices what she teaches. 👉 $100K+ in self-publishing royalties — part-time. Here’s why I’m sharing this today: Krista’s Skool community is moving from FREE to PAID on September 1. I’ve been a member for a while, and if publishing a book has ever crossed your mind, I highly recommend joining while you can still get in for free. Sometimes your Skool Bestie helps you level up. 🚀 Sometimes she helps you publish the book. 📕 I’ll drop the link below. 👇 Krista Brea's KDP Publishing

@Steve Gast Steve, that may be the shortest product pitch I’ve seen all week. Lol. “Does all the selling for you” definitely gets my attention. Thanks for the recommendation—I’ll take a closer look. 😊

🔥 Are Your Services STICKY?
One of the best things you can build into your business is a sticky service. What do I mean by "sticky"? It's a product, service, membership, or relationship that gives people a reason to keep coming back month after month or year after year. Instead of constantly asking... "Where do I find my next customer?" Start asking... "How can I keep delivering value to the customers I already have?" Sticky services can take a LOT of different forms: 👉 Skool Communities — ongoing education, networking, resources & support 👉 Coaching — continued guidance and accountability 👉 Counseling — ongoing professional support and relationships 👉 Consulting — continued access to expertise 👉 Memberships — exclusive resources, content or access 👉 Software / SaaS — tools customers continue using 👉 Website Hosting & Maintenance — recurring management and support 👉 SEO & Marketing — ongoing visibility and lead generation 👉 Reputation Management — reviews, monitoring and customer feedback 👉 Digital Business Cards — hosting and managing profiles 👉 Project Posting — continuously turning completed work into searchable content 👉 Bookkeeping & Accounting — recurring financial services 👉 Fitness & Wellness — ongoing training and accountability 👉 Subscriptions — recurring access to products or services And there are hundreds more. The initial sale gets you the customer. 🔥 The sticky service gives them a reason to stay. Here's How We're Doing It With Bio Builders Bio Builders itself is a community. We're building a place where members can learn, share ideas, get resources, and discover ways to build and sell digital profile services. But there's another piece to the model: EZ Bio. EZ Bio is our sticky service. Instead of members learning something and then leaving, they get a product they can use, promote, and build a recurring revenue stream around. And here's where it gets interesting... 💰 We pay our affiliates 40% recurring commissions on EZ Bio. Not just on the first payment.

Mine is still under construction, but I think it will be a library of specialized GPT tools for writers and family historians. The recurring value comes from the fact that the work itself recurs—another book, another decision, another family record, another research problem. I think the important distinction is that a service should be sticky because the usefulness keeps returning, not because leaving is difficult. Honey is sticky. Flypaper is sticky too. I prefer the first business model. 😂
