How To Use Content To Close More Clients
Most people think closing happens in DMs. It doesn’t. Closing starts with your content. If your content isn’t setting up the sale, your conversations will always feel forced. The real problem is people post tips, value, and random ideas, but none of it prepares the reader to trust you, see the problem, or want the solution. So when they get into DMs, they struggle to close. Your content should do 80% of the work, and your conversations should do the final 20%. There are three types of content you need. Problem content calls out the exact issue your audience is facing. For example, “If you’re posting every day and not getting clients, it’s not a consistency problem. It’s a conversion problem.” Authority content explains why the problem exists and shows you understand it. For example, “Most creators post value, but there’s no path from content to conversation to client.” Conversion content gives people a reason to respond. For example, “Are you getting conversations from your content or just views?” When someone messages you, they already know the problem, trust your perspective, and want help. Instead of convincing, you’re guiding. The shift is simple. Stop trying to close in DMs and start closing through your content. Before you post, ask yourself if it calls out a real problem, builds trust, and starts a conversation. If it doesn’t, it won’t lead to clients. Take your next post and call out the problem, explain why it exists, and end with a question. Your content should make the sale easy. Conversations just complete it.
