Total Gym Workout or Training Video
Figured I'd drop this over to you guys as I'm feeling the urge to make another total gym video and or band video on the channel. Let me know if there's a workout and or related training video you want to see. Summer is lining up though for both some very cool band and sliding bench content regardless if everything goes as planned. Hope you all are doing and performing well, Mike

I'd love the trifecta videos. One day focussed on upper body workout with TG/bands, plates, resistance bars/dumbbells/bench. One day focussed on lower body workout with TG/bands, plates, resistance bars/dumbbells/bench. This is kind of the small space, cheap equipment ideal. Optimizing the use of each. :)
Modified Upper/Lower Body Split
Lately I’ve been running a pretty simple upper/lower split again because it fits my schedule / recovery best. . One thing I’ve noticed though, is I feel best when I actually give myself about 3 full days before hitting the same area again. So what I’ve been experimenting with recently is: - Upper - Rest - Lower - Rest - Repeat It’s technically a little lower frequency, but honestly it’s been working really well. I feel more recovered, workouts feel better, and it’s freed up some time with everything else I’ve got going on. I’ll probably look to add a bit more walking/cardio as we get into summer, but for now this setup has been working fairly good where I'm feeling pretty fresh each time without any regressions. Also quick note, I know I haven’t been posting a ton in here, it's going to probably be like that I until I get that first course going. I do want this to be a place where you guys can share and help each other out too, so feel free to jump in, keep things positive, and keep it centered around training. Curious what kinds of splits you guys are using and more importantly, is it actually working for you?

I've been doing something similar (bands, TG, dumbbells) - upper Monday , lower Tuesday - 10k C2 Rowing Wednesday - upper Thursday, lower Friday- 10k C2 Rowing on Saturday & Sunday. I've been using an app called RubberBands to pick that type of lift, but then deciding if I want to use bands/TG/weights to accomplish it. if you haven't tried RubberBands app, and are interested, it's currently being developed by one guy, and he's super responsive to suggestions.
Eat before workout??
Hey everyone! Just about to do a pull day, but I just felt like a quick bowl of oatmeal before, so thought I'd get this party started. Anybody else eat beforehand? Why/why not?? (apologies Mike if I'm jumping the gun)

Workout at 4a. 5g creatine before, electrolytes and water during, 5g creatine after (mostly for brain - 60 years old and want to stay sharp as long as possible), then eat overnight oats (red mill protein oats, Kirkland low-fat Greek yogurt, PB Fit powder, high pasteurized milk, chia seeds, frozen blueberries, honey).

@Wilson M.T. I haven't really noticed a difference in the split. I've been doing it about 3 months. I thought of it b/c I read that "muscles are greedy for creatine," and you have to have an excess for it to make it to the brain. So I tried the split to see if it would help with mental clarity throughout my work day.
Mini-Update Of Community
Want to give you guys a heads up that this community is really for getting some of you like minded people together. I've been bad about promoting this group, but I honestly just want to start small first. If you’ve got workouts, setups, ideas, or even questions, feel free to post them. Doesn’t have to be perfect. In a couple weeks I'll be giving out structured courses inside here focused on things like: - Hybrid resistance training - Sliding bench training - Resistance bands - But before I build anything, what would actually help you the most? A full program? Exercise breakdowns? How to structure workouts? Something else? Feel free to drop it below as I’m building this around what you guys actually need. Likely the first course will be the "The Art of Sliding Bench Training" but I'm all ears.

A “section” on nutrition would be welcome too.
The Art of Sliding Bench Training
What a Great Place to Start😀.i just purchased a total Gym and I dont Know were to begin? i know that sounds strange but For me i am 66 and when i was younger i spent many years Locked up..when you are 18-35 and all you have to do all day is hit the weight pile. i was 6' 1 and 240-280 and a very aggressive young man.it was a great way to focus all of that neg energy.. after i did my time i did not want to go back so i focused my energy (time) on becoming a better person and keeping up my fitness..believe it or not, but i kept getting asked to leave the Gym. i was told they weren't geared up for guys like me. Soo i redirected my attention to, Mt Biking and biathlons Running Biking Swimming, untill i finally wore myself out..here is a picture of me today. 460lbs and i use a walker to get around. I take no meds i have no infirmities , i am Fat and getting up enough courage to hit the total Gym..i started Atkins on Tuesday i am down 7lbs. i cant believe how big a difference 7lbs makes..i caught myself for the first time in a long time walking around the house without my walker it felt good..so Pray for Me. i am Believing God for a Miracle Along with the TotalGym. it is written in the Scriptures. Therefore, strengthen your feeble arms and weak knees. “Make level paths for your feet,” so that What is lame may not be disabled, but rather healed.. Heb 12:12-13

Stopped and prayed for you right now @Mikey A. May the resurrection power of Jesus fill you in pursuit of Truth and Health, on this holy day and beyond. @Wilson M.T. thanks so much for your humble response to mikeA’s pain. Faith based or not, i so appreciate someone who can have a kind word when they see someone hurting. I hope the renewal of Easter and spring inspires you to have a great day.
