INTRODUCE YOURSELF !
Welcome. This community is for fathers who can feel their family slipping away, through divorce, a custody battle, or a marriage that has gone quiet. Here we work on one thing: taking full responsibility for your part, so you stop losing ground with your kids and become the father they actually run toward. Start here: 1. Introduce yourself below. Tell us where you are at right now with your kids, and what's pulling you away from them (divorce, custody, distance, tension at home). Use this format: - First name - Kids' ages - Marriage, separation, divorce, or co-parenting - The one thing you are most afraid of losing with your kids 2. Answer this question honestly: Where do you feel you are losing ground right now? 3. Then post one small repair you can make in the next 24 hours. Not a big promise. Something real and simple Examples: - Apologize without defending yourself. - Put the phone down for 20 minutes. - Ask your child one question and actually wait for the answer. - Send one calm message instead of a reactive one I'll go first in the comments.

Hey everyone, I'm Doru. I've got a 4-year-old daughter and a 6-month-old son. Here's the truth: I'm not writing this from some finished place. I'm a few steps ahead of most of you, not miles. I know what it feels like to be exhausted, distracted, and scared that the small moments you're missing right now are the ones your kids will remember. My biggest fear isn't some abstract "work-life balance" thing. It's specific: my kid growing up and me realizing I was in the room but not really there. I grew up without that. My dad left when I was seven. I spent my life until I was 18 bouncing between houses, and I know exactly what it costs a kid when a parent is present in body but absent everywhere else. I don't want to hand that down. So this community isn't me teaching from a mountaintop. It's me a few steps ahead, showing you what's actually working, admitting what isn't, and building this with you. Where am I losing ground right now? Not one big thing. It's the small stuff: reaching for my phone instead of my kid, being physically present but mentally somewhere else. My repair for the next 24 hours: phone away, full presence with my kids. No distractions. Tell me where you're losing ground. That's what this place is for.
