Most Emotional Guitar Solo
While we are all impressed with technically perfect shredders, who do you think does a great job of putting emotion into their solos? For example: Eddie Van Halen is an excellent guitarist, but I don't think of his solos as full of emotion. But... Gary Moore was a virtuoso and he jam packed emotions into his solos. Still Got the Blues and Empty Rooms get me in the feels every time I listen to them. Another great example of emotional soloing: Myles Kennedy and Mark Tremonti on Blackbird. Let's hear your favorite emotion solos.

@Chris Mohammed oooh thank for the recommendation. He’s definitely got some emotional leads. I love players who are melodic.

@Marc Pocus Kingfish is amazing. I look forward to hearing what he creates in the years to come.
Pick Wear
So, I've been noticing a lot of pick wear and I'm curious if this is normal. I practice/play anywhere from 2 to 2.5 hours per day. I try to use medium picks, but someone recommended I try Jazz III picks. What are your go to picks and how much wear do you notice?

@Keith Stephens Thank you. Do you find it hard to strum with the Jazz III picks? I've used them for leads, but I find them tricky to strum with.

@Eric Beaty great idea about using them to tighten picking technique.
Practice Reminder
Life got a little busy this week, and I had to remind myself that I don't have to practice 3 hours a day. Just 30 minutes of practice is enough for those days that get crazy. I thought I'd post it here to remind others of this. Keep practicing. It's worth it. 🎸

@John Donahey Exactly! even just 30 minutes is beneficial and helps you "reset" from all of the commitments you may be facing.
Guitar related, maintenance question...
What have you all found, or done that worked... for sharp fret edges? Without totally chewing up the nice fretboard wood finish?!!! I know could buy and use a small metal file, but have a feeling that might make marks and accidental scratches/gouges. Would a womans nail file stick do it more slow and gently to avoid damaged finish? Also looking for most budget options as money is not growing on trees in my current situation. Thanks in advance ✌️

Stew Mac sells files specifically for frets. Also, try to tape off the wood around the frets to protect the fretboard before you start filing. ;)

@Greg R excellent! I’m glad they helped. They have a lot of great resources and tools.
Need help figuring out how to play
How do I strum a cord? I can't seem to figure out if my fingertips go in between the cords or on the cords. And if it's supposed to go on do I hold the cords down or what? Also, how tight do I tune the guitar strings?

By chords, do you mean frets? Your fingers go right next to the fret (the metal wire on the fretboard)..,not on top and not in the middle between two frets.

As for tuning, don’t over tighten. Maybe got to a luthier for a set up and a lesson on tuning?
