Hi everyone! I’m Donna, recently relocated to the Gold Coast after moving from Canberra. I’m building YCM, a consultancy helping construction and trade SMEs prove their capability, alongside working full time and solo parenting my teen daughter, while my son lives in Canberra with his Dad - so there’s a fair bit going on 😂. I joined Inner Circle at Dream Fest and found my way here from there. I came to Dream Fest very much for the business side of things. I know I’m at the point where I need to scale and remove myself as the biggest blocker, but probably my biggest takeaway was that growing the business and working on myself aren’t really two separate things. There were definitely a few uncomfortable moments of recognition over the two days! I’ve built something I know has the potential to help a lot of small businesses, particularly, and I’m at the point now where I want to work out how to grow it beyond something that depends entirely on me - and ultimately create more freedom in my life, not just another job for myself. Really keen to learn from people who are further down that road, meet some great humans, and hopefully contribute some useful experience of my own along the way.
