Archiving the Community
After a lot of thought and bouncing the pros and cons around, I have decided to archive this community. I spend a lot more time outside than I do inside, and I simply haven't taken the time to post as often as I had intended to. Plus with the growing dome build on the horizon I'll be extra busy. If you haven't already downloaded the freebies I have included please take advantage of them now. The group will be archived and to my knowledge, any files will no longer be accessible to members. My group is paid until July 2, at which time it will be unavailable for new members, comments, and posts. In all honesty, at $150+ CAD it's no longer feasible for me to keep it going. I do have an alternative so if you wish to continue to follow my gardening journey please DM me and I'll send you the info. Thank you for being here and I have enjoyed seeing your gardens (both inside and out).

Stranger things!
Five years ago I got a small pot of these “annuals” from my kids school green house. They really aren’t supposed to do this in this zone. But every year even after being sprayed heavily by my husband after I fill my pot, they come back up the next year and bring their friends. This year I decided to just roll with it. They are pretty and bloom for a long time. You can see the pot I started with them in. The first year they filled it nicely but that’s it. Now these picture only show you part of them. They just keep spreading.

They might be! I’ve never heard them called that and they’ve never grown here like a perennial. They usually just come in annual potted plants labeled pansies. But the second picture attached said another name is Johnny jump up. So there ya go.
The Greenhouse is Thriving
Well, almost! The citronella (citrosa) plants that I started from cuttings are loving life for the most part. A few are a little leggy but that’s on me. (My best friend and my 2 sisters are enjoying the ones I gave them, as well as the other plants I sent home with them.) I am pleasantly surprised to see the morning glory blooming because it hasn’t been very happy since I moved it out to the greenhouse. Temperatures were a little colder than it prefers but the fact that it’s blooming has given me some hope. Yesterday I transplanted over 30 pepper plants and a couple of tomatoes. I’ll do more of the tomatoes this afternoon I think. The petunia was bought at a local greenhouse, as were a couple of other decorative plants. My flowers didn’t germinate; most likely due to the fact some of the seeds were decades old. I’m not in any hurry to get anything put outside yet because of the wind. My raised beds still need to be topped up with soil as well so nothing can go in them yet either. I also learned that ground cherries do not like the cold either. The 4 I started were doing great in the house but got a little chilly a few nights ago and are looking very sad. Tuesday was my birthday, and on Wednesday my daughter asked if I wanted to go greenhouse hopping. She sneakily paid for the Nanking Cherry I picked out so now I have to find a home for it; most likely in my growing orchard. What’s happening in your garden at this point? Still too cold or are the perennials in full bloom?

Oh that’s fantastic! I’m not as avid outside gardener as you but I’ll get some shots soon. My summer perennials are up and doing well. I’m not quite ready to trust to put my things outside yet either. They wouldn’t freeze but it’s cold enough it would be pretty harsh on them.
Happy plant!
My spider is blooming like crazy. I have this one in an east bathroom window. It obviously loves it there. Pictures aren’t great with the light coming at me but hopefully you can see all the blooms.
Happy plant!
Excited!!
I’ve had this chunk in the dirt for a long time thinking it wasn’t going to take but look what I found today. It’s had a baby!!
Excited!!
