Share-What-You-Did Sunday
I don't want this group to become a link-drop can, but I also want to know what people are working on. Last time I made a similar post, one Anthill member, @Honey Syed, made a sale right away! Which tells me that I should make it so folks can share what they're up to... but in a more controlled way, perhaps? So, welcome to a new weekly thread: Share-What-You-Did Sunday Made a new offer? A lead magnet? Landed a client? Acquired an asset 👀? Anything else? 🎉 Share away! 🎉 (And yes, feel free to share a link, also.)

@Denisse Vega your website is amazing! The look, the copy, everything. 🤩
Product delivery question from an overthinker
Hey! I just finished a product I'm getting ready to launch: a mini-course with text and images only, no video. Quick question: how are you delivering your mini-courses/products? Many creators use Google Docs or Notion. I get why: they're free and easy to share, but neither feels right for what I'm building... nah, I just hate them, tbh. Won't lie to you, my Ant friends. Also, PDF feels outdated to me too, and I want my audience to click around and navigate directly to what they need. The idea I keep coming back to is creating a password-protected page on my website and sending the link & password automatically once the sale goes through. Clean, simple, and fully on my own platform. Is anyone doing this? Has it worked for you?

I did my course on Skool but it’s $9 a month and then people have to actually want to join Skool so I’m not sure if that would work for you. I’m thinking of doing what you said- a password protected blog post. Or even an email series.

I’ve been working on another blog post, pinning on Pinterest- trying new things because I’m bored to death, & working on a newsletter.
Recommend an unpopular book or two
Many, many years ago, I was reading "Norwegian Wood" by Haruki Murakami, and in it, there's an exchange between our very average main character, Toru Watanabe, and his more dashing and charming friend, Nagasawa, that left a deep, deep impression on me. Both Watanabe and Nagasawa are loners, offbeat characters, who have little in common with their peers, including the books they read. When Watanabe comments on Nagasawa's favorite authors (Balzac, Dante, Joseph Conrad) not being very "fashionable," Nagasawa replies with: "That's why I read them! If you only read books that everyone else is reading, you can only think what everyone else is thinking. That's the world of hicks and slobs. Real people would be ashamed of themselves doing that. Haven't you noticed, Watanabe? You and I are the only real ones in the dorm. The other guys are crap." --- Of course, this is a work of fiction, and in the world of fiction, a character can be rude and declare the rest of the world crap... Even so, I think there's merit in reading things nobody else is reading. So, my question to you... let's maybe help each other find books that are not on Amazon's best-selling list or worse, on the New York Times' best-selling reads. And to keep things from going out of control, let's stick with books that taught you the most about marketing, selling, doing business, or writing in general. Even if the books weren't marketed as such. I'll start 👇

Achored by Deb Dana, it shares how nervous system states affect your mood, emotions etc & how to ‘befriend’ your nervous system. It’s really good so far & she gives you tools to help you notice what you’re experiencing instead of trying to control it.
Weekly agenda - 2/23
Time for some accountability sht. For me... Last week was... OK. I ran an affiliate promo and tweaked around with the auction idea (the rational mind says to scrap the idea, but the irrational mind says to keep at it because really, it is the best thing ever! I'm literally lending my whole audience to someone every single week!) This week's big goal is to finish March Field Notes for Vault members. And then, try to get some people on the call with me, make a couple of lead magnets and low-ticket offers, go through Travis Sago's 24-hour auction guide (still haven't gone through it... 🙃), and maybe make some money 😌 Share yours away! 👇

This week I’m moving out of state so there’s lots of packing and then the drive… so, I’m going to be realistic. I’ll pin 3x/wk for five days. If I do more then great! If not, then it’s okay. Finish I blog post I’ve been working on. And send a newsletter linking the blog post I finish.
