The One Flip
Today, catch yourself ONE time saying something negative about yourself — out loud or in your head. Doesn't matter how small. The second you notice it, don't let it slide by. Flip it — not into something that sounds nice, into something you could actually believe. "I always mess this up" becomes "I've messed this up before, and I've also gotten it right before. This time I get to choose which one shows up." That's the whole rep. One catch, one flip. Here's why it matters: self-talk isn't neutral. It's either building the case for staying stuck or the case for moving. And reframing isn't lying to yourself — it's telling a more honest, more useful version of the truth. You've had wins too. The negative version just talks louder because you've let it run unchallenged. Thoughts and language matter more than you know. You are your only limit — and today, you're also the guy who catches it. Drop your catch and your flip below. What did you say, and what did you flip it into?

The Loop Close
Before you drift off to sleep tonight, take a moment to do this. It’ll take you less than 2 minutes. Reflect on your day. Identify ONE thing you promised yourself — or someone else — that you didn’t follow through on. Don’t dwell on it. Just wrap it up. Choose one: Do it right now. Even if it’s just the quick 2-minute version, it counts. Reschedule it out loud, specifying an exact time. Say, “Tomorrow at 7am.” Avoid vague terms like “soon.” Cross it off your list. Honestly, it didn’t really matter — be truthful with yourself here. And that’s it. That’s the entire process. Here’s why this works: an open loop is like a little nagging reminder that you didn’t keep your word — it’s proof that you’re not following through. But when you close that loop, even if it’s just by rescheduling, you’re showing that you’re someone who takes care of things instead of letting them linger. You only truly fail if you give up. Closing the loop isn’t giving up — it’s honoring your commitment to yourself about what comes next. Share your loop below — what did you close tonight, and which option did you choose? I’ll be hanging out in the comments!
