After more than 50 years in business, one principle still rises above all the trends and technologies: People do business with people they Know, Like, and Trust. AI may change how we market, communicate, and deliver services, but it doesn't change the fundamentals of human relationships. Know: Years ago, we knocked on doors, made phone calls, attended networking events, and asked for referrals. Today, we use social media, podcasts, videos, email, and AI-powered tools. The methods have changed, but people still need to discover you before they can buy from you. Like: Once people know you, they need to feel comfortable with you. That comes from being authentic, helpful, consistent, and genuinely interested in serving others rather than simply making a sale. Trust: Trust is earned by keeping your promises and delivering results. The fastest way to build trust is to solve a problem, create value, and then exceed expectations. AI can help us reach more people faster than ever before. But AI cannot replace integrity, character, empathy, and the human connection that turns prospects into customers and customers into lifelong advocates. The technology changes. Human nature doesn't. That's why "Know, Like, and Trust" remains one of the most valuable business principles I have ever learned.
