My freshman son did his first ever freestyle qualifier today. He some points up on the board. Little things need fixed but he has grown since he started last year in 8th grade. He had an awesome gator roll but lost his grip on his second roll and he ended up under the kid and couldn’t get out of it. Second was a forfeit and third match he was the first to score with a 4 point but the kid was able to roll him to tech him. Coach sees his improvement, so hopefully the extra reps make it click and he will kill it next year. Proud of him to say the least. The kid has heart.

Our little beast took 4th place today at OHWAY novice state. For her first year I am extremely proud of her. The third match was zero to zero till sudden death overtime. She ultimately lost had a decent shot on the kid but he was just able to capitalize on his spraw. She did hit a move or two we were working on through the last couple weeks. She also got her first ever tech fall today too. Very proud dad/coach.

My daughter took second place today at her first years Cobywa championship all girls bracket. This is her second time wrestling all girls. She went undefeated till her last match. Wife didn’t get pictures of the first match wins or face off. Won first one by points, 2 pins, and one loss by pin. Pretty amazing for her first year. Proud coach and dad. She fought hard each match.
