Good morning, friends. Today’s post is a little different. Today we remember. September 11, 2001. A day that changed our country forever. We remember the innocent lives that were lost. We remember the firefighters, police officers, first responders, military members, and ordinary people who showed extraordinary courage in the middle of unimaginable tragedy. We remember the families who said goodbye that morning without knowing it would be the last time. And we remember those who still carry the grief and scars of that day 25 years later. We will never forget. 🇺🇸❤️ 📖 Today’s Scripture “The LORD is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit.” Psalm 34:18 ESV Today I hope we all take a moment to slow down. Put aside our differences. Remember how precious life is. Tell our families we love them. Thank a first responder. Pray for those who protect and serve. And remember the families for whom September 11 will never be simply another date on the calendar. 🙏 Let’s Pray Heavenly Father, today we remember the lives lost on September 11, 2001. We pray for the families and friends who still feel the absence of someone they loved. We remember the first responders who ran toward danger when everyone else was trying to escape. We remember those who sacrificed their lives trying to save others and those who continue to live with the physical and emotional wounds of that day. Lord, comfort those who still grieve. Watch over our first responders, military members, and all who serve and protect our communities and our nation. Help us remember how quickly life can change and never take the people we love for granted. Bring our nation closer to You and closer to one another. Teach us to choose compassion over anger, unity over division, and love over hatred. Most importantly, help us keep our eyes on Jesus and remember that even in our darkest moments, You are near to the brokenhearted.
