Twinkle Twinkle Guessing Game
Lets play a game. Here's a simple melody you probably all know (see my video). I'd love you to post your own variation of it in the comments. Then, based only on what you hear, have a guess at the musical background or influences of the person who posted above you, and the person below you. Classical? Folk? Blues? Something else? Do more than two if you're enjoying it. The idea is to show how everyone has a unique voice, and how even the simplest melody comes out differently depending on the music we each know best. Your version says something about you, whether you mean it to or not. Have fun with it!

Jazz funk fusion? Kidding of course. sounds like Celtic fiddle or American derivations of Celtic fiddle to me.

Matt – – I don’t know if this is the right place to mention this, but I’ll give it a shot. I got your book on enclosures, but I don’t understand one part. You say to combine exercises 2a and 2b but I don’t see what you mean. A measure or two as an example would go a long way. For quick reference, the relevant pages are attached.

ok, thx
Sonny Stitt Transcription
I'm still working on this at the moment. I took a short moment whilst my son was napping today to try and get these first 3 choruses up to speed. Not quite... Not bad but it needs a lot more slow practise.

Just realized I’m a tad flat the whole way through…😕

Thanks! On the intonation, I blame the sax. I’m not flat; maybe Charlie Parker’s just playing sharp the whole way through…😜. (Or maybe not…).
