Welcome to YouTube Creator Workshop!
In this community, you will find likeminded people who are interested in growing their channels and improving their videos. This includes, but is not limited to, video descriptions, thumbnails, titles, search engine optimization, video structure, hooks, and more. If you have a question, I will have advice for you, and so will other members of the community. This community is driven by you. The Classroom will contain lessons created by myself to help you with the growth of your channel and your videos, targeting specific aspects that you may be interested in. You are free to request more in depth lessons that will help everyone. I will have real examples of analytics from my own channel, as well as how I create my videos. As with other communities on Skool, YouTube Creator Workshop is always a work in progress, because there is always something new to learn as the environment and algorithm on YouTube changes (which it does frequently). I will be active in here every day with answers, new questions, and more. To start things off, please introduce yourselves to the community and what kind of YouTube channel you have.

I’ll start things off! My main gaming channel is DolphinLexi, and it’s where I create cozy gameplay and storytelling-style content. Right now I’m still pretty early in my journey (around 100 subscribers), so I’m mainly focused on improving things like hooks, pacing, editing, thumbnails, and making my videos more engaging overall while I learn and grow. A big part of my content is just me learning as I go, making mistakes, and building a chill, cozy community around it. I also have series where viewers can suggest ideas, and I turn my streams into highlight videos so people can enjoy both the live and edited experience. I’ve also decided to combine my other gaming-related channels (like collabs and extra gaming content) into my main channel to keep everything focused in one place. The only channel I’m keeping separate is my music channel. I also run a few other channels: • Dolphin Sings — a music channel where I experiment with different music video ideas, some suggested by viewers and some created by me • Dolphin Lexi Collabs — fun, chaotic gaming content with my best friend focused on challenges, friendship, and laughs • Dolphin Live — where I post livestream highlights and stream moments • Dolphin Other Stuff or Gaming (not sure yet) — where I explore different games and other content I’m still figuring out my direction and trying different ideas, but I really enjoy the process of improving step by step. I joined this community because I want to learn from other creators, get better at YouTube, and also share my own journey as I grow. I’m excited to be here and learn from everyone 💛🐬
Understanding YouTube and my questions
Here’s a clean version that fits that section while staying organized and not overwhelming: The biggest thing I want to learn right now is how to make my videos more engaging so people actually stay and watch. I feel like I have good ideas, but I want to improve things like hooks, pacing, storytelling, and also get better at thumbnails and titles so people actually click. I’m still early in my journey (around 100 subscribers), and I’ve been feeling a bit overwhelmed with all the ideas I have. It’s exciting, but I also get stuck trying to figure out the “right” series or direction to start with. Sometimes that pressure makes it harder to actually begin. If you were in my position, what would you focus on first? Here are a few specific questions I have: • What works better for beginners — simple longplays or a Let’s Play / Forever World? • What’s a good beginner-friendly series idea?• Does restarting fresh and scheduling content ahead sound like a good idea? • Is running an SMP alongside a main series manageable, or too much early on? • Any tips for recording confidently when you’re alone? • How did you approach longer videos when starting out? • How do you balance streaming and turning streams into videos? • How important is editing for beginners—should it stay simple? I’d also love to understand more about the reality of content creation overall—like growth, the algorithm, and even the financial side if you’re comfortable sharing. Thank you for taking the time to read this, I really appreciate any advice 🙏 This version fits the “questions section” better: clear, focused, and still shows you’re serious without being too long.

I don’t have a strict recording schedule yet, but I usually record in the afternoon or evening when I have uninterrupted time. I’m currently working on building a more consistent routine.
Question of the Day (April 26)
What is one video-making skill you feel you need to improve the most?

One video-making skill I want to improve the most is storytelling and pacing. I feel like I have good ideas, but I want to present them in a way that keeps viewers engaged the entire time. That includes having a strong hook at the beginning, smooth transitions, and making sure the video doesn’t feel slow or dragged out.
Question of the Day (April 28)
Everyone has their ultimate goal for what they want to achieve on YouTube. But we need to think about the next step first. What is your short term goal for your YouTube channel? It can be milestones, things you've learned, and so on.

My short term goal right now is to stay consistent and actually build a routine with my content. I want to focus on improving each video—like making better intros, smoother transitions, and more engaging storytelling, especially with my different series that I’m doing I also want to start understanding what works for my audience, whether that’s through titles, thumbnails, or shorts, and use that to grow step by step instead of rushing everything. A milestone I’m aiming for is to grow my channel and build a small but active community that actually enjoys my content and comes back for each upload.
