Any tipps to write really good copy from scratch ?

sometimes when I write copy I instantly now what to write about but sometimes I can't barely write copy just looking at the blank doc. how can I practice that I have always have Ideas what to write about

I want to start writing sales pages the copy it self is no problem but I can't design I heard that some people say that designing is not my task I just write the copy for the page and sending them. So do I need to design or not ?
