@Nikki J Originally memory loss and reincarnation wasn't the idea, to be honest but it's fascinating to look at it like that now that the poem stands on its own. It is the closing piece following a short prose, focused on the feeling of being stuck feeling "Now what?" When something is over - a chapter of your life "dies". It also plays on the view of sleep as a small death. Every day is a rebirth. And we could do with celebrating it as such. Let go of baggage carried over from the previous "life" that ended when we go to bed.

Thank you for having me!
Hello!
This is a poem I've written for my book. Feels like a perfect poem to use as an introduction, especially as I find myself a stranger in a new community. Thank you all for having me!
