You train hard.. throw your punches fast in shadowboxing and hitting the bag. Yet when you fight against an actual person your body seems to move slower and your opponent seems to have taken all your speed! Listen I am no stranger to this as it has happen plenty of times. One thing I now know is that it is not the body that is moving slower it’s the Brain is processing way too much. Think of it this way! You ever been in an argument and after you leave it, you start thinking about all the things you could of said…EXACTLY same thing our mind and body process things slower when we are too focused on the person(argument) Try this next time you train. Throw your punch without judgement. Keep your form…but throw it as if you are surprised that it was even thrown! This trains your body to respond rather than react. Respond is in the moment React is after the moment is gone! Keep Getting in the Reps
