@Abdulai Bah It's about feeling the weight difference! In run they want to move you!!! In a play action/quick set they just want hands on fast no movement! Check out this video below👇 https://www.skool.com/defensivelinemanacademy/classroom/5e4f4c46?md=a05720acd5364abc9cfe6d8c89b8c9a5

Pass Rush Lanes...
Anyone have the dimensions of a pass rush lanes I can paint on my practice field? Thank you advance.

Check this video out Coach, it shows painted pass rush lanes on the field and gives a really good visual for spacing and angles. I don’t have the exact measurements, but the concept and layout in the video should help you set it up in a way that makes sense for your guys.
What you wish your in-person coach would cover...
So, we're always looking/searching for those little "golden nuggets" to improve our game play experience beyond practices. But have we ever stopped to think about what kinds of things we wish our program coaches actually covered or taught during practice? As a coach myself, I'm so used to looking at and acting upon the "bigger picture" that its easy to overlook some of the smaller details that can be very evident with 1-on-1 or some sort of smaller and more direct instruction. So for the coaches such as myself, what is something each of you wish you had learned before reaching out beyond your program?

Great question Coach!! From the player side, I think most kids think they want to learn pass rush, because that’s what they see on TV and on highlight tapes. Sacks get attention, so they assume that’s the fast track to playing like the pros. If I could go back and tell my coaches one thing to cover more, it would be how to actually beat an offensive lineman with different moves. Building a real pass rush toolbox, not just “run fast and try to win.” Teaching why a move works, when to use it, and what the counter is when it doesn’t. That doesn’t mean ignoring the run game at all. But even something as simple as a “pass rush move of the day” for the last 5–10 minutes of practice would go a long way. One new move or counter each week, layered over time. Those small, intentional pieces of teaching are the kind of details players usually have to search for later on their own.

I coach defensive linemen to the point where schools and teams can’t ignore them.
