You're not successful because you're not consistent
Controversial, sure. But if you subscribe to our Thriving Teacherpreneur newsletter, you got the message today. Here's a snippet: "Every January, people make new goals. We’re here to say that making goals is a waste of time. That might sound strange. However, we believe the process is more powerful than the goal. As you begin a new year and have new aspirations for your teaching business, don’t commit to goals. Instead, commit to the activities that will help you achieve them. Here’s an uncomfortable truth: you’re not where you want to be because you’re not consistent. Most people can’t do one thing over and over again. As teachers, we are creators. We are creatives. We thrive on creating new things constantly. And this kills businesses. A thriving business is based on doing one thing again and again and again. Consistently. Consistency isn’t sexy. But it’s necessary." Read the full newsletter here. Let us know what you think of this. Are you consistent? Are you striving to be more consistent?

I'm also the one who creates something new, but can't sustain the consistency I'm aiming for anything I want to start. Proscrastination plays a huge role in my inconsistency, though. Sometimes anything unexpected happen, which also may affect stability to some extend. I have made resolutions for this year, but it will be the last thing I'd repeat in the next years. I only keep doing activities after reading this post. Thank you for enlightening us. :)

Hey everyone! I am Diren Yildiz, an English teacher from Turkey. I have been working only with teenagers, but my current business is going on in a public high school. I participated in this community, because I thought all we could benefit from student-friendly recommendations for designing online lessons and I was already wanting to create an alternative business which enables me to make money by my own profession regardless time and place. Also I feel impressed by the idea of DOGME which I will utilize in my next lessons. In 30 days, I am planning to improve my soft skills to represent my ideas effectively.
