@Chad Miner An ohana is from the Japanese actually. Like a 'family' room. Or where the family meets.

Think of the traditional home with its sliding walls that that open the home to the outdoors. Where the family gathers for meals or conversation.
🤣 Funny and true 😂
My son grows plants 🌿in a tent and the tent is typically zipped shut unless he is tending to them while the grow light is turned on so as not to disrupt the dark hours. His dog always has to be involved...he has developed a liking for eating the leaves. Because of the summer heat, my son has had to leave the tent open. Yesterday morning when they got up, as per their routine, he asked his dog if he needed to go outside and the dog excitedly ran off. When my son came out of his room to head downstairs, the dog was nowhere to be seen so my son called out to him. No dog, so he called out again a little louder. The dog came prancing out of the plant room with a mouth full of leaves and his tail wagging happy and proud! When the dog first started eating the leaves, they were only the one or two my son offered. I said that one day the dog was going to help himself and yesterday morning, he did just that!🤣🤣🤣

My dogs loved 'kale bones'. The stems left from peeling off the leaves. Also whenever I cut carrots, Sadie shows up. And, when I roast pumpkin and sweet potatoes, she totally begs for the skin and rind.
Crafty in the garden 🧶
Learned a couple of macramé knots on YouTube and made a trellis hammock for one of the pumpkins!

@Beth E that is smart! I lost my pumpkins two years ago from dropping onto the ground...wish I'd have thought to make a 'sling' for them. lol.
Browning kale
For Chad, any idea what's causing the discoloration in our (older) TG plants? The pH has been slowly creeping up, but TDS is stable, and water level is as well. This is our kale, growing about a month and thriving. It's just begun this brown-ish presentation. Problem?

It may be lighting if the leaves are brown curling inward and dry on edges: too much light. Could be low or too high water. If slimy or an odor=too much/high water. Or roots not able to absorb because too low water in reservoir.

Finally if none of those....over to Chad! 😄

I grow microgreens hydroponically and also culinary mushrooms. I would like to grow ‘cut n cut again’ baby greens hydroponically. No Outdoor garden.
