I’m Not Ready to Let This Summer Go 🤍
Summer is starting to wind down, and I’ve been thinking about how grateful I am for the slower moments this season gave me. 🤍 Time on the farm. Getting my hands dirty. Being with my family. Laughing at things that probably wouldn’t be funny to anyone else. And most of all, getting to spend this time with my dad. There’s something about being back on the farm that reminds me what actually matters. Life gets busy. We’re always looking toward the next thing, asking God what’s coming, where He’s leading us, what we’re supposed to be doing next. But sometimes His greatest gifts are sitting right in front of us. This summer, I’ve tried to be present for them. For the ordinary days. For family. For Dad. For the farm. For the conversations and memories I know I’ll someday wish I could have just one more of. As summer comes to an end, I’m not quite ready to rush into the next season. I’m just really thankful for this one. 🤍 What’s one thing from this summer you want to hold onto a little longer?

Oh is summer leaving, I thought it just got here. Wow, that was a fast one! I love enjoying the sunsets preferably in a boat on the lake with friends 🧡 thats my ideal summertime. Ending the day with a cook-out and maybe some S'mores.....yum!
What about you?!?
There’s something about slowing down and spending time on the farm that fills my soul in a way nothing else can. This summer has been full of simple moments with my dad, who’s getting older, and time spent with Kord and the girls. No big agenda. Just conversations, laughter, hard work, fresh air, and being present with the people who matter most. It’s easy to get caught up in doing, producing, and checking things off the list. But I’m reminded again and again that some of the most important moments in life aren’t the ones we plan... they’re the ones we make room for. Sometimes the greatest gift we can give ourselves is permission to step away for a little while. To breathe. To reconnect. To remember what really matters. What’s something that refreshes your soul and helps you step away from the busyness of life? I'd love to hear what fills your cup.

I dont think we ever stop developing our gifts and I do believe, the more we do develop, the more peace we have so I am wrapped up in both.
Happy Wednesday, everyone! 💛
I thought it would be fun to do a little midweek check-in. What does summer look like for you these days? Has it changed from when you were younger? Are your summers busier, slower, more family-focused, more peaceful, or maybe a little more spontaneous? I was thinking about how different seasons of life often change the way we experience summer. For some, it’s vacations and grandkids. For others, it’s gardening, staying cool, reading books, or simply enjoying a different pace. I’d love to hear from you. Has summer changed how you live your life? And what are you looking forward to most this summer? Let’s chat below. ☀️

DEFINITELY busier! When your young, your biggest concern is your summer tan and how bronze you can get. (No, I never used baby oil but am absolutely in that era) Laying out with the radio playing.(Yes I am from the radio times as well) and a sweet cool breeze or by the pool was my lazy summer afternoons then go meet the gang and cruise the streets of my hometown, stopping at the dairy queen to get a chocalate dip cone. Those were my younger days and extremely enjoyable. Today it getting the yard and garden all cleaned up and planted, replacing rock, mulch and whatever else time has taken away. Which completes phase 1 then on to phase 2 power wash the house, deck, boat dock and boat. Still in phase 2 bug spray all plants, house, deck and dock while placing organic grass food all over the lawn, plants and flowers. Now phase 3 go to warehouse power wash the boat get it in for annual check up before I can dock it. Get all the deck furniture out and cleaned and decorate front porch and back deck. Phase 4 think about if there is a week or even weekend we could get away for a summer vacation. Yes, I am exhausted too....summer has definitely changed. Don't get me wrong it may sound like I dont enjoy summer of today, I do but in a whole different way. Try to have 2 summer outings at my house for friends and family. Aren't you glad you asked
✨ A Little Reflection From Our Community This Week ✨
As I was reading through everyone's comments, I noticed something beautiful. Some of you are letting go of worrying about what other people think. Some of you are letting go of responsibilities that you've been carrying for far too long. Some of you are releasing fear, frustration, resentment, and the feeling that you always need to be doing more. And some of you are practicing something many people struggle with... Trusting yourself. Trusting that you know more than you think you do. Trusting that the answers will come. Trusting that you're supported. What I love most is that none of this is about becoming someone different. It's about releasing what was never yours to carry in the first place. The pressure. The expectations. The fear. The constant need to prove yourself. And in that space, something else begins to grow... Peace. Confidence. Clarity. Connection. So today, I want to ask you: 💜 What is one thing you're trusting yourself with right now? I'd love to hear where you are on your journey.

Some times it feels like the beginning and other times it feels likes years of experience in trusting myself. And if we look deep its ego or release (trust). So now my purpose is to stay in release and try my best to keep ego at bay. That devil that likes to creep back into our life.
