Controversial Take: The Shortcut Mentality Is Keeping You Stuck
The way to make quick money. The way to get traffic fast. The way to rank higher asap. Everyone’s chasing the next way to avoid doing the work instead of building something that actually lasts. I’ve never once seen someone create a meaningful, happy, fulfilled life surrounded by people worth having in their circle by trying to game or cheat a system. Just like a fire starter, it burns fast and bright with nothing solid underneath to keep it going. In fact, a few who tried to game the system and made it to the Games in the past ended up becoming examples of what not to do and internet memes instead of role models. Shortcuts can look exciting in the moment, but they never build real stability. They don’t create the kind of foundation you can build a business, a brand, or a reputation on. The people who win long term aren’t searching for hacks. They’re refining what works. They’re taking in feedback and iterating. They’re showing up when no one’s watching. They’re stacking small, boring actions that eventually create something unshakable. Quick results fade. Real growth doesn’t need a hack. Where have you seen the biggest difference from slowing down and doing it with intention?

@Lau Brizuela there is for sure rebellion in being intentionally slow (enough). not follow the hustle culture not running after people not knowing if where they are heading to is actually where you wanna be not masking to belong yet willing to bare those silent and lonely moments. I can see that.

@Lau Brizuela guess every speed is ok as long it’s yours and slow enough to go for the full distance. building a business is not a sprint.

Gained 68 Days Back & Improved My Skool Strategy
In 14 days I cut 4.5 hours a day of screen time. 😳 That equals 68 days a year of freedom back. 🎉 I did the math to see how much this meant I gained back vs losing by taking those hours x my hourly rate... let me ask you this: How much is your time worth an hour? How much are you losing daily? For me, it was a LOT! What stood out to me was not just my personal results, but how this challenge activated people. A healthy 7 day free trial gets members moving right away, and the way Matthew set up the longer challenge kept them posting, checking in, and staying consistent. It showed me how the right structure can carry people far beyond the free trial. After the trial is over, the weekly giveaways kick in. Every check in counts as an entry, which means daily engagement is built into the design. It is simple, but it works, and it is something I plan to adapt for my own upcoming community. In about 12 hours we are going to have a live call to go over it with Matthew and hear his mission with his community. 🔴 Creating A 7 Day Free Trial | Monday, September 15 at 11am CST (Zoom link has been added!) @Matthew Thompson will share how he set this up, why the 7 day free trial works, and how you can use the same structure to boost activation and retention inside your own Skool community. You will see how to turn a 7 day free trial into 90 day and beyond success by transforming lives before anyone pays and fueling long term community growth. 🚀 This is the type of strategy you can study and model for your own community, while also benefiting from it as you participate. Who is coming to the call?

Finish These 4 Skool Sentences 👀
Love seeing so many new faces on Skool. I thought it would be fun to hear how each of you approaches the key moments that shape your community. There is no right answer, just different perspectives we can all learn from. Yes, even if you’re new! I want to hear your take :) The most important thing to do when… • joining Skool for the first time is • inviting people to your community is • when new members join your community is • creating a paid offer is Whether you answer one or all of them, your take could be the exact insight someone else needs. (I’ll share my perspective later on tonight.)

my take: The most important thing to do when… • joining Skool for the first time is like coming home when you did not know you've been out in the wild just by your own for way too long • inviting people to your community is to know where they are coming from and figuring out what they might need. • when new members join your community is to help them feel welcome and safe. • creating a paid offer is a logical thing. ideally the next thing to do, yet also asks for some balance, so also people who are there for the free stuff don't feel like second class members or like they are obligated to go this next step.
