What Cutting Caffeine Did That I Did NOT Expect 🌱
Up until early last year, I suffered from acid reflux and heartburn daily. I finally narrowed it down to caffeine — mainly coffee. Which is still crazy to me! Since then I've been 100% caffeine free ( 14 months on April 1st 🥳). No coffee, no energy drinks, no green / black tea, no soda pop. Herbal teas only 🙌🏻 Here's something I didn't expect though — once I cut caffeine, I noticed other things shifting too. Caffeine can actually trigger inflammation in some people, and it's a known diuretic, meaning it quietly dehydrates you even when you think you're hydrating. For me, cutting it out was like finally letting my body exhale. Buuuuutttttt I missed my iced coffee. Like seriously MISSED MY ICED COFFEE! Someone told me cold brew was easier on your stomach and less acidic than hot coffee — so I looked into decaf cold brew and I was hooked. The only downside? Cold brew is spendy af. 😅 So I bought a home cold brew kit and never looked back! Now I get to enjoy my iced coffees without the jitterz — and I'm happy to report: still no heartburn, still no acid reflux. 🙌🏻 The process takes 12-24 hours. I usually prepare in the afternoon and then let it bloom on my countertop until the following morning. I go 16-20 hours 🌿 Drop your cold brew brand in the comments — I'll share mine too! ☕

Wow Jenny, that’s impressive. I didn’t realize cutting caffeine could have such a big impact. Decaf cold brew sounds like a smart workaround. Any tips for someone just starting out?
🌿 Protein — Protein — Protein 🌿
"But where do you get your protein??" 🙄 Since becoming a vegan, hands down THIS is the question Iget asked the most!! Let's let nature answer that one. 🦍 The Strongest — Gorillas can lift over 10x their body weight. Powered by 40+ pounds of plants each and every day. 🐘 The Largest — Elephants tip the scales at 14,000 lbs and never stop moving. Fueled entirely by grasses, bark, and fruit. 🐢 The Longest-Living — Giant tortoises hit 150–200 years. No steak, no supplements. Just plants and pure longevity. The jungle figured it out a long time ago. 🌿 🧬 Here's the real secret though — your body doesn't actually use protein. It uses amino acids. These are the building blocks protein gets broken down into, and diverse plant foods deliver the full spectrum. No animal required. The "complete protein" argument against plants? Outdated. Eat a variety of whole foods and you're golden — without the saturated fat and inflammation that so often tag along with animal protein. 🌱 Where are you on your plant-based journey? Drop a 1, 2, or 3: 1 = Just curious 2 = Mostly plants 3 = Full plant-based

I’d say I’m at a 1 right now 👀 just curious but posts like this definitely make me think more about it. Quick question though… for someone just starting out, what are like 2–3 easy plant-based meals you’d recommend that still feel filling?
Banana Nice Cream 💛🍌
Tonight's banana nice cream was a dreamy treat turned dinner! 3 small frozen bananas, 2 dates, and a splash of decaf cold brew — next level yumminess! 🍌✨ Topped with 1 sliced fresh banana, a sprinkle of vanilla powder, and 1 tbsp 72% dairy-free dark chocolate chips. Only 4g added sugar — and packed with potassium, fiber, and natural energy from whole foods. Dessert / dinner that actually loves you back! 🍫 Leave out the chocolate chips and you have yourself a totally sugar-free bowl of goodness 🫶🏻 No dairy. No guilt. Just pure deliciousness. Have you tried nice cream before? What's your favorite combo AND what are you topping yours with????

That actually sounds fire 😮‍🔥🍌 never tried it with cold brew before, that combo must hit different. I’d probably throw in some peanut butter or granola on top for a little crunch. Definitely trying this one soon
BBQ'd Pumpfu Burgers 🌱
Hubby absolutely crushed it on the grill tonight with the BEST pumpfu burger I've ever had — and I held my own by making us the most perfectly crispy homemade Jo-Jos to go with it, breaking in my brand new Ninja Crisp properi! 🍟 The secret to next-level air-fried fries? An ice water bath. Soak for 20 minutes, pat completely dry, toss in avocado oil, then air fry for 20–25 minutes. Absolute perfection every single time. I whipped up the easiest dipping sauce — organic mustard, Yellow Bird sriracha, and a squeeze of miso. Simple, bold, and so good. My burger was loaded: sautéed mushrooms, onions, and peppers, organic mustard, sauerkraut, Bubbies sweet pickles, creamy avocado, and of course — more Yellow Bird sriracha. 🌶️ The other half of the avocado got the everything bagel treatment topped with sauerkraut, and no meal is ever truly complete without a couple of pepperoncinis on the side. That's just law. This is what weeknight dinners should look like — colorful, nourishing, healthy, absolutely delicious, and a total banger!✨ Save this post if you want to try the ice water bath trick for your fries, and drop a 🍔 below if your partner is also your favorite grill master!

Looks like Jenny shared a full on weeknight feast 🌱🍟 Her post is all about plant based BBQ vibes with some chef level tips like the ice water bath for crisp fries and her killer dipping sauce combo. That burger sounds loaded with flavor and texture mushrooms, peppers, sauerkraut, avocado, pickles, and sriracha. Definitely a post to save if you’re into plant based cooking hacks or want to level up your air fried fries.

Quick & Easy Vegan Breakfast Scramble 🌱
One of my favorite Saturday morning traditions — and today it converted two skeptics! 🙌 This hearty breakfast scramble comes together in just 45 minutes (only 15–20 hands-on!) and I promise you won't miss the eggs, meat, or cheese. Here's my process for this beauty: Start with roasted red baby potatoes — diced, seasoned, oiled, and roasted until golden. While those do their thing, sauté a colorful mix of mushrooms, bell peppers, and red onion in a cast iron skillet. Today I threw in a can of black beans for extra protein and staying power. Layer everything into a casserole dish, then drizzle generously with a homemade cashew queso — creamy, smoky, and dangerously good. The result? A filling, flavor-packed breakfast that happens to be completely plant-based. My husband and my daughter's partner usually get their own Saturday morning spread but today they ate what we ate — and loved every bite. 😄 Easy, satisfying, and endlessly customizable. This one's a keeper. 💚
