it just me… or did April absolutely zoom by at 100mph 🤦🏻‍♀️I feel like I’ve been constantly on the go, with a few wobbly, unwell days sprinkled in there too 🙈 and somehow… my birthday came and went in a blink. But even in all of that, there have been little pockets of calm.Those quiet, gentle moments that remind me to pause… and honestly, so many of those moments come from being here with you. You really do inspire me every single day 🙌🏻 ❤️ May is shaping up to be a busy one ! I’ve got plans to visit friends, a family reunion up country, and of course our beautiful garden is really starting to come into its own now 🌱 (which brings me so much joy). And today is extra special… it’s @Treena Gooding birthday 💛She is such a dear friend to me a beautiful creative soul who gives so much to others, often without taking enough time for herself. So today, we’re sending you all the love Treena, and I hope you find a little smidgen of calm tucked into your day somewhere ✨ 🥳🥰 For those of us here in England, it’s a bank holiday and living in a touristy spot means we’ll be doing the opposite of the crowds… staying home, pottering in the garden, and soaking up the quiet.🌺 And before I go, I just want to say thank you.Truly. I read something today that stayed with me…about how creativity doesn’t always arrive in bright, shiny moments.🤔 Sometimes it begins in the dark. In the unsure, the quiet, the “I don’t quite know what this is yet.” We often celebrate the lightbulb moment… the ta-da!But what we don’t talk about enough is everything that comes before it.The slow forming, the muddle, the invisible growing. 🌱 Ideas don’t just appear fully formed.They stretch, they sit, they take their time.A bit like something gently rooting beneath the surface before it dares to bloom. And maybe that part…the murky, in-between bit…isn’t something to rush past or fix. Maybe it’s something to honour. 🙌🏻❤️ Because your creativity isn’t just the finished piece—it’s the whole journey of it finding its way. So if things feel a little unclear right now,a little foggy or unfinished… you’re not lost.you’re just in the beginning 🌱🙏🏼

Today I headed to the beach and it was absolutely glorious. The kind of day that reminds you how healing a bit of sea air can be. ☀️ I packed my sketchbook, took my best pal Reggie, and off we went for a little adventure.🐕🐾 Something I’m wonderfully nerdy about… 😬🙈rocks ! Properly fascinated by them. The cliff faces at Whitsand Bay are so high and full of texture, layers and stories written through time. Honestly, it was the best kind of drawing inspiration for me. And to top it all off, the weather was chef’s kisses 😙 👌 Sunshine, sea breeze, and that feeling of being exactly where you need to be. I did some filming too, but after a full day of wandering and soaking it all in, the editing can wait until tomorrow. Sometimes the best thing you can do is let a lovely day settle before turning it into content. For now, here are a few little glimpses of where I’ve been today. Where is somewhere that always fills your cup when you visit? 🌊✨

There’s something about coming home that just softens everything, isn’t there. The past few days have been my little pocket of calm…quiet moments, fresh air, soft light, and time with my kids. Nothing fancy, just being together and honestly, that’s the good stuff. 🙌🏻🥰 These flowers felt like tiny bursts of peace, all open and steady in the sunshine… and that sunset, slowing everything right down as the day let go. It made me realise how much I needed this pause. Even though it’s Monday and the world says “go again”, it still feels like I’m gently closing the door on my weekend… and I’m not rushing it. 🫶🏻💜 I hope you managed to find a smidgen of calm in yours too, however it looked 🤍 What did your weekend feel like?
