Heartbroken 💔
I'm so sad today. I lost my sidekick Mr. Patters last night. 6 years I was his human. Yesterday was a rough day. I spent the day just chilling with him. Loving him. Petting and rubbing him for hours. I apologized for all the times I pushed him down because I wasn't in the mood. All the different emotions. Man, death is wack. Animal loss is tough because they love us unconditionally. I'm gratfeul it happened quickly and he didn't suffer. Somedays life just isn't fair. I'm bouncing off my phone for a couple days 🫶🏻

There’s actually a proper way to use parchment paper when baking 👀 For the longest time I fought with mine like it had a personal vendetta. Then one of my students dropped this gem during a sourdough workshop… 👉 Wet it. 👉 Wad it up. 👉 Smooth it back out. Bingo bango — it behaves like a dream 🫣 Today I am in full prep mode and not playing around: HIGE pot of chili ✔️ 3 bean salad ✔️ Pre-cooked rice ✔️ Mushroom jerky ✔️ 1,000 island dressing ✔️ Roasted tators ✔️ Brookies ✔️✔️✔️ Got a double batch of brookies baking as I type 🫶🏻 Aaannnnndddd I scored a new nut butter at Costco and I am obseesed with it! Healthy AF, no added oil, and no added sugar 🥳 Last up after a little breaky break: carrot, apple, ginger, lemon juice to seal the deal 🥕🍎🫚🍋 Do you have a set food prep day OR do you just wing it? Mine changes based on my sporadic work schedule 🤣

From Sick & Tired to Rooted & Wild 🫶🏻
Hey there! I'm Jenny (your host) — a wife, a mother to 3 amazing grown kiddos, and newly an Oma to 2 beautiful little granddaughters! In my spare time you'll usually find my nose in a good book or my Bible. One of my favorites is You Are the Placebo — life-changing book right there! Joe Dispenza is such a fascinating author! We are outdoor people and LOVE camping! I also enjoy walking, hiking, and I'm a total gym rat — working on my perfect home gym! My hubby and I are also homebodies, and my favorite thing to do is probably watch scary movies. I love to be scared. 🤡 I'm a juicer and in my happy place when I'm knee-deep in food prep or creating a new vegan recipe (or three 🤪). I'm also a self-taught, full-time plant-based experimenter 🌿. I went plant-based a little over a year ago after witnessing firsthand what food could actually do — and heal — for me. I had tried it ALL. Keto, Carnivore, Atkins, GLP-1, powders, pills… you name it. Nothing worked, and I was simply sick and tired of being sick and tired. So I joined a 28-day online fruitarian challenge — and went all in. 🥳 Since then, I've shed 60 lbs naturally, reversed Type II diabetes, dropped my fasting blood sugar from 165 → 72, lowered my A1C from 6.9 → 5.0, healed my gut, cleared my brain fog, reversed insulin resistance, reduced my inflammation, and finally started pooping daily (hallelujah 🙌). Once my body felt this good, my heart naturally followed — and that's when I became fully vegan. For the first time in my adult life, I've been able to maintain a healthy weight — and at 48 years young, I'm on ZERO medications, prescription or over-the-counter. That's huge, considering I was medicated for most of my adult life. I'm here to share the real, the messy, the delicious, and the always-magical journey of living plant-based — the food, the habits, and the everyday wins (and losses) — so you can see that healthy living doesn't have to be hard or boring. Pull up a chair, and let's get rooted & wild together! 🌱💛
