About Your Last YouTube Video
I just saw this tweet from Mr Beast - he spent about $10Million and more than a 1,000 hours on his last video. I usually grab my phone, film what I'm thinking about, upload it and I'm done within half an hour at no cost. Might explain why he has over 500 million subscribers and he gets WAY more traffic than I do! lol What's your YouTube process?
About Your Last YouTube Video

From Gemini (5 years was a commitment): Jimmy Donaldson, known as MrBeast, spent years in obscurity before finding fame. Starting at age 13, he uploaded videos from his bedroom, desperately trying to crack the YouTube algorithm. For five years, he faced constant failure, barely gaining an audience while balancing bad internet and school. He and a small group of online friends spent 15 hours a day obsessively analysing what makes videos go viral, studying thumbnails and watch time. His breakthrough finally came in 2017 when he counted to 100,000 for 40 hours. That gruelling grind launched the extreme stunts and giveaways that made him a global superstar.
How did this happen?
I turned 60 on the weekend ... and I still can't quite believe it! But I celebrated anyway ... what did everyone else get up to on the weekend?

Experiment Results
So you might recall on the 1st of August we switched from Fremium to Paid to experiment with results in two main areas: 1) Improving Conversions with Growth Boost - Skool seemed to be really pushing paid communities in their ads and discovery/traffic algorithms, and 2) Preventing spam,scam, bot member applications We now have a month's worth of data and it was a spectacular success for preventing spam/scam/bot member applications - 100% reduction in that ✅ But on the Growth Boost side it was a total failure - we didn't have any legitimate conversions either ❌ So if there is no market for paid content in this niche from me, I'm rethinking the whole community. But FIRST I'd love to hear from YOU. What would you like this community to be?

Would love to chat with you before you do anything drastic @Shaz Jones. There is a formula for Growth Boost, and not many are aware that it exists. Send me a DM and let's have a chat.

What's Next?
So you've made your first dollar on Skool. What's next for you - growing traffic, members, MRR??

@Shaz Jones Not really. I don't think Kirby's comparison was Apples to Apples. Also, the traffic models are completely different. The way Aiden drives traffic is quite unique because it leans heavily on partners within Skool, like Kirby and Evelyn Weiss. In essence, he converts better because he isn't driving traffic through social or FB ads, so it's not fair to compare the About page numbers.

@Shaz Jones 🤣 True
Has Skool Changed?
I joined Skool just over a year ago and I was really excited... amost addicted. Most of my free time was spent on Skool. But since Growth Boost has started I'm noticing there's been a shift that makes me sad. Some new Skool features (like Reviews) are only for paid communities. Communities that I had been active in and actively supporting since Day 1 that had been free (or free for me), now only have paid-options. The first community to do this happened even before Growth Boost actually, but Growth Boost has accelerated it. And the first of the founders who kicked me out have now started DM-ing me asking me to join their paid communities. I assume the others will follow at some point. It seems more and more of the focus of Skool is on making money, and those who are making money now. >>There is no recognition of the value of free communities, or of free members within communities. There's no patience to let members decide when they are ready to take their next step.<< When I joined Skool were proudly talking about how a lot of their significant growth came after they shut down the hustle bro marketers. Now they seem to be promoting them again. Is it just me? What do you think about the recent changes?

Hi @Shaz Jones thanks for your post. Didn't you switch from free to paid? Sorry to highlight it, but you changed to paid to show up better in Growth Boost, no? https://www.skool.com/onliners-9041/aaaaand-were-a-paid-community

@Sharon Horne-Ellstrom I agree, and me neither. Members should be grandfathered in based on whether they joined for free or paid.
