I’m currently working on In The End by Linkin Park. It has some complicated rhythms in the verse that have me stuck. No videos yet, but I will take one and post it.

So, I love classical music. And, as much as I try to stray away from it, I keep coming back for more 🤣. Here is a snippet of what I’m currently working on. Please keep in mind that this is the first time I’ve laid eyes on this piece and today is my first time attempting it. It’s only the first two bars. But I’m also working on my sight reading. This is Sitoli’s Prelude in B Minor. Excuse my commentary, it’s how I learn new pieces.

Hello everyone; I’m Derrick. I have been playing on and off for almost nine years now but decided to really get serious about playing over the past two years. There’s a lot I know, but there’s soooooo much to learn. Currently, my struggle is rhythm and training this left hand to move like my right hand! I love composing and have composed two pieces of my own with a third in the works. Nothing fancy, just these melodies I have locked in my head. I’m here because I “stumbled” across Cliff on instagram and I’ve been following him ever since. I can’t wait to see what I learn from this new adventure. Happy playing, Dr. Smith
