What is the first app you open in the morning?
Honest answers only. Not the one you think you should open. The one your thumb actually finds before your feet touch the floor. Mine used to be email, which meant strangers set my agenda before I had a single thought of my own. Drop yours below. No judgement. Next week I will share what the pattern says and the one change that breaks it. If you already know yours is a problem, the fix lives here: Digital Detox: Stop Doomscrolling Your Life
The bad day protocol, in three lines
From Self-Care Without the Guilt, the lesson people say they needed most. Bad days are not a character flaw. They are a system failure, and a system can have a fallback mode. The three lines: 1. Drop to the floor: the minimum version of your routine, decided in advance. Not zero. Minimum. 2. One kind act toward your own body: water, real food, a shower, ten minutes outside. 3. No big decisions until tomorrow. Write your three lines while today is still a good day. That is the whole trick. The protocol only works if it exists before you need it. The full lesson is here: The bad day protocol. What is your floor? Comment the one thing that stays even on your worst day.

Put twenty seconds between you and the scroll
One move from the Digital Detox course you can run tonight. Make the thing you want to stop twenty seconds harder to start. Phone goes in a drawer in another room while you work. Social apps move to the last home screen, inside a folder. Log out after each use. Twenty seconds sounds like nothing. It is enough. Most scrolling is not a decision, it is a reflex. The gap turns the reflex back into a decision, and a decision can go your way. Try it for one evening. Then come back to this post and tell us what happened. The full playbook is in the classroom: Digital Detox, the Focus Fortress lesson.

Where to start: 1. Digital Detox: Stop Doomscrolling Your Life. Eleven short lessons to take your attention back. 2. Self-Care Without the Guilt. Energy mapping, the five minute ritual, the bad day protocol, boundaries that hold. Then introduce yourself in the comments: 1. Your name and where you are from 2.
