A little creativity for you today
Take a quick creative moment… Scribble something right now (yes, even messy!) Now look at it and ask:“What does this remind me of?” Curious to hear what you see 👀🎨 These little markings sometimes hold interesting revaluations . Think about cloud formations. From the apparent formlessness of the clouds we can sometimes see images of animals, houses dragons etc. What messages are these images carrying for us? My example here started as a scribble.. As I outlined the shapes I realized there were two birds and a 'dog' showing up. I guess my love of dogs and birds came up to remind me of the joy nature brings even in difficult times.

Are your comments not being allowed?
Hi Everyone. I was just made aware that a member tried to add a response to one of my posts and the system brought up the message that she was 'not allowed" Has anyone else had this experience? If so , Can you do me the king favor of screen 'shoting' the message and emailing it to me? I have put the problem to the community on Skool and some one suggested this. I have also noticed that responses to posts have only come to me directly and are not seen in the general discussions of the community. So I will have to go back to settings to also see what I can do as well. I really want to resolve this as we go forward building a community centered around self care with art and creativity. Blessings💖

This poster is speaking the truth for me. LOL!! It starts with a simple pack of crayons. One of my first memories that I can point to as the start of my art journey is getting a new pack of crayons and just being mesmerized by the colors as they sat in the pack. I was about 5 years old.. I think.. What is your first memory of your encounter/experience of art/creativity?

A Tough few weeks made more tender with a little Art
Hi Guys, I hope all are doing well. I have been absent for a while , but here's the thing.. Do you know the phrase , " you teach what you need to learn.."? It is Soooo true. I have been sharing here and with others about the value of creativity in challenging times. Well ..I found myself in the deep end taking care of my son who for 2 months has been dealing with one of the most challenging effects of sickle cell anemia.. a leg ulcer.. I won't go into it. here. but just saying it was so tough going at multiple levels. Just when the signs that it was healing.. My husband became so sick that he had to be hospitalized.. This took me into another round of tests, medicines , doctors, and more.. again .. I won't elaborate here.. But, just saying these moments presented me with the opportunity to once again 'test my belief in the power of creativity to lighten the load'. I want to share. guys that I am so thankful that my mind is so wired with the creative process. I can share that during my husband's hospitalization and numerous visits to the doctor with my son, I secured little bits and pieces of time to be with myself and my 'art making'. This allowed me to claim my peace.. made/ allowed me to receive and assimilate the load of information that came at me for processing.. Kept me occupied with other thoughts that had nothing to do with hospitals, doctors et al.. In fact, I actually began to fill out my 2026 visual journal more than the weeks prior to all the drama. I could channel solutions to issues with out straining.. I could find joy in the most serious of circumstances.. So guys.. My Beautiful Souls of this community.. Take this to heart if nothing else... you have within you sacred medicine placed by The Creator , Source, God.. Your wild and wonderful creative self. In any given moment with the powerful tool..Your Imagination ..you can co create your life's journey to be as you desire. You just have to make the decision to help yourself to ease , elegance and grace as you experience our beautiful Mother Earth.
