Solve the Problem First and It Will Heal You
Here’s is my truth... What most “mindset” articles or posts avoid teaching people is that your nervous system trusts receipts, not pep talks, affirmations, or other mindset tools. For example: When my mind says, "I don't know what to do?" I get stuck in a loop of stress and anxiety becaise I can't get out of the loop when I keep creating the struggle by repeating to myself, "I don't know what to do?" When I solve the actual problem in front of me…even imperfectly... I create proof that I am safe, capable, and can do hard things... it builds a type of confidence inside me and my nervous system can relax. That proof and belief is what deeply heals me. Pain lingers when we loop on stories and can’t get out of them. Healing begins when Icreate a solution, challenge what is possible for me or simply put a system in place. Symptom vs. System (Name it...call it what it is) - Symptom: “I’m always stressed about money.” - System problem: No cash-buffer, no cash flows, no assets. - Solution: Create a cash flow vein, create a cash-buffer, learn a money making skill - Symptom: “I don’t have time.” - System problem: Calendar is permissionless; tasks aren’t batched; priorities aren’t ranked. - Solution: Organize myself, get help organizing, create SOPs - Symptom: “People keep taking advantage of me.” - System problem: No boundary scripts; no consequence ladder; unclear agreements. - Solution: Create scripts, create a consequence ladder or agreements When I fix the system, and the symptom stops begging for my attention. When I am deeply into a problem i stop and ask myself if I am addicted to the problem. Meaning, some people's based line has been programed to react the way they do. They become addicted to their stress, unhappiness, distress and reactions and continue to have them over and over again. This blocks all opportunities that could arise instead. I heal myself when I solve the problem because it reroutes my nervous system out of the reactive state and I have now become a problem solver. A lot of opportunity is hidden in problem solving.
