Let’s talk about beginning SS-31 research 💜
Let’s talk about beginning SS-31 research 💜 Hi, Glow family! I love the thoughtful questions you’ve been asking about SS-31. When you hear several different approaches online, it can feel like you’re supposed to figure out which person has the one right answer. I don’t want anyone here to feel that pressure. The low and slow starting approach I’ve shared from my experience is 2 mg daily for 10 days. You may also hear people discuss 5 mg or 10 mg daily, or longer cycles of up to 20 days. I share those numbers so you understand what’s being discussed, not because everyone should follow the same plan. My role is to help you understand the research, answer your questions, and share my perspective. I’m an educator, not your physician, so I can’t choose a dose or cycle for you. If you’re considering personal use, a qualified healthcare professional who knows your health history can help you make that decision. Please keep bringing your questions! I’m always happy to help you sort through the information. I want this to be a place where you feel curious, supported, and confident asking more. ✨

🧬 Eloralintide: What’s the Buzz? Plus Our “Ellie” Name Update
Glow family, let’s talk about a name you may be hearing more often: ELORALINTIDE. 💛 Quick naming update: we have renamed our listing on glowglps.com “Ellie.” Eloralintide is still the scientific name to use when looking up the research. Ellie is our site’s name, not an approved medicine brand or a Lilly endorsement. 🧠 WHAT IS IT? Eloralintide is an investigational selective amylin receptor agonist. In plain English, researchers are studying how it activates a pathway involved in feeling full. It works through a different receptor pathway from GLP-1 medicines. 🔬 WHY THE INTEREST? In a 48-week Phase 2 trial involving 263 adults with obesity or overweight and a related health condition, without type 2 diabetes, eloralintide groups had average weight reductions ranging from 9.5% to 20.1%, versus 0.4% with placebo. Those results were published in The Lancet in 2025. Gastrointestinal symptoms and fatigue were the most common adverse events. 📰 THE LATEST HEADLINE — SEPTEMBER 30, 2026 Lilly reported a separate 48-week Phase 2b study in 367 adults with obesity or overweight AND type 2 diabetes. The highest-dose eloralintide-plus-tirzepatide group had an average 23.3% weight reduction, compared with 14.8% for tirzepatide alone. That 23.3% figure is for the COMBINATION—not eloralintide alone. The headline percentages above use an analysis estimating results if participants remained on treatment; they are not guaranteed individual outcomes. ⚖️ WHAT ELSE SHOULD WE KNOW? In the combination study, gastrointestinal side effects were more frequent with the combination. Across combination groups, 10.8%–27.0% stopped treatment because of adverse events, versus 2.9% with tirzepatide alone. That matters alongside the weight-loss headline. Eloralintide remains investigational, with Phase 3 studies underway. Longer-term safety and effectiveness still need study. These trials evaluated Lilly’s study medicine; they do not establish the identity, quality, safety, or effectiveness of a product sold under the name Ellie.
