Sunday January 18, 2026 Scripture: 1 Corinthians 1:10 (KJV) “Now I beseech you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you; but that ye be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment.” Today’s Reflection: In this verse, the Apostle Paul urges the church in Corinth to set aside their quarrels and factions, pleading with them in the authority of Jesus Christ to pursue unity. The early church faced divisions over leaders, doctrines, and personal preferences, much like we see in our world today, whether in families, workplaces, or communities. Paul isn’t calling for superficial agreement but for a deep, spiritual harmony: speaking the same thing, avoiding splits, and being “perfectly joined together” in mind and judgment. This unity isn’t about uniformity in every opinion but alignment in the essentials of faith, rooted in Christ’s love and truth. Imagine a body where every part works in sync; that’s the church Paul envisions. When we prioritize Christ over our differences, we reflect His glory and strengthen one another. Today’s Application: Today, examine your relationships. Is there a division you’re contributing to through gossip, pride, or stubbornness? Seek reconciliation by focusing on shared values in Christ. In your interactions, at home, work, or online, choose words that build unity rather than sow discord. Remember, true harmony comes from humility and a shared commitment to Jesus. Prayer: Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus Christ, help us to heed Paul’s call for unity. Bind our hearts together, remove any divisions among us, and grant us the same mind and judgment centered on Your truth. Teach us to speak words of peace and to value our brothers and sisters above our differences. May Your church shine as a beacon of harmony in a divided world. Amen.
