So we've talked about building an email list, but I want to back up for a minute. Are you using a freebie to get people ON your list? And by freebie, I mean something your audience can download or access in exchange for their email address. It could be a checklist. A mini printable pack. A planner page. A coloring page or activity. Or a short guide. It doesn't have to be some HUGE 30-page product. In fact, it probably shouldn't be (Yeah... No. Just NO). 😂 You just want to give your people something useful that makes sense for the audience you're trying to attract. So... where are you with this? One of the hardest parts of creating printables can be figuring out WHAT to create in the first place. And there is definitely no shortage of places to get ideas. Maybe you're scrolling through Etsy or Pinterest to see what's out there. Or maybe you hop over to your favorite AI tool and ask for help brainstorming. Or do you start with a piece of PLR or some cute clipart and think, "Okay... what can I make with THIS?" Or perhaps you're like me sometimes (more like all the time) and an idea just pops into your head while you're doing something completely unrelated. 😂 So, tell me... Where are YOU getting most of your product ideas right now? 💡 Pinterest 🛍️ Etsy 🤖 AI 📁 PLR I already have 🎨 Clipart/graphics I want to use 🙋🏽‍♀️ Things I personally want or need 😂 Ideas just randomly pop into my head 🤷🏽‍♀️ I'm STILL trying to figure out what to create! If you're anything like me, the FUN part of creating a printable is making it look good. 😁 Picking the colors. Choosing the fonts. Adding the cute clipart. Moving things around 50-11 times because that box is still not quite where you want it. 😂 But here's something I want you to try... Don't start with the design. Before you even open Canva, figure out: 👉🏽 WHO is this product for? 👉🏽 WHAT are they trying to do, solve, learn, organize, etc.? 👉🏽 WHAT does the product actually need to include to help them do that? Then outline the content. Once you know what you're creating and why it needs to exist... THEN go make it pretty. 🎨😊 Because you can create the cutest printable in the world, but if you haven't thought about who it's for or why they would need it, you may end up with something that's pretty... ...but doesn't sell (Yeah... Been there, done that, got the t-shirt 😉). And you don't want to spend three hours picking out the perfect shade of purple just to discover THAT. 😂 So... purpose first. Content second. Pretty comes after. 💜

Are you one of those people who need complete silence when they're trying to create. Like... No TV. No music. No talking. Just you and your thoughts. 🙃 And then there's the rest of us... Music playing. A podcast in the background. YouTube going on another screen. Maybe a TV show we've already seen 47 times, so we don't really have to pay attention. 😂 So which one are you?
